I've been trying to figure if I've gotten pickier and more selective in the past five years or if the quality of the providers has gone downhill. One of the two is happening. Although I guess both could be happening. But I'm less enthused with the possibilities these days.

I forgot to report back. He actually followed up with me. He got back in touch with me and apologized. He said he fell asleep after a long flight and all. He had mentioned being tired on the phone. So tended to believe him and he seemed sincere. However, I didn't reschedule.

Well, I can provide some information. I reached him on the phone and he sounded genuine and enthusiastic. We agreed I'd take 30 to 40 minutes to get ready. Then I was going to his hotel to pick him up and come back to my place. I got ready right on time. I texted and called twice. No reply. Ghosted. Nothing else to report. I'll let folks know if I ever hear back with an explanation.

I came here to get more info. Don't see any, so I'm bumping. It's becoming my experience that we aren't very often encountering the same guys anymore. Not sure if that's fewer clients on here or a lot of turnover in the provider end of things. I almost can never find any recent info on providers I'm interested in.

It's tight quarters but should be good enough for hosting. In my particular cases, I always went to the providers' places. It's definitely much better than a cubicle in a bathhouse!

I'm a fan of The Pod hotels. There are several. I've stayed in Midtown East at 51st. You do share a bath to get the good rate, but that's fine with me. They are tiny but well-designed. I care more about a good lodging price vs. the most primo location possible. I'm there to walk and subway around anyway. Pod 51 isn't far from the United Nations. The location has served me well.

I've noticed (at least in the Atlanta market) that sometimes new guys ask a good bit more than the general going rate, which is around $300 to $350 an hour here. $250 is real bargain anymore. A few providers I got established with years ago still offer me the $250 range because I am easygoing and easy to please. Another new guy I'm interested in is also asking $400 for an hour. I'm very interested and if he had said $300 an hour, I would have already set the appointment. I might have considered $350. I'm stalling and thinking at $400. I'd really like to hear how your session with Baseball Jock goes if you don't mind sharing.

Gosh, I guess there are any number of people. But it's all in the realm of fantasy. Because anyone I'm willing to pay $1,000 probably has no interest in the money. But if we're going the fantasy route, if Ryan Kwanten or Matt Bomer or Josh Morrow (Young and Restless) or Rafael Nadal or Daniel Craig or Arch Manning were willing to get with me for an hour for $1,000, I'd probably cough it up just for the one-time novelty of it.

I know that PNP has always been a part of this scene. (Not a part I like, BTW). Is it just me, or has it become a bigger part in the past few years? I can't count the number of profiles I've clicked past on RM recently because not only is PNP listed, but because it's emphasized. I don't remember seeing it as much back when I first started hiring. Am I being more sensitive/aware, or have any of you noticed what seems to be more providers playing PNP up - not just clicking on it as an "Into" but actually taking the time to mention it again in their write-ups? In my case, it's costing them a potential client.

I did an archive search. This is what I wrote at the time: I hired Luke and what I assume what his boyfriend/traveling companion at the time. It was one of my first hires and definitely my first double-hire/threeway-for-pay. I had a great experience, including bending over for Mr. Marcum on a high-rise hotel balcony on a warm Atlanta night. The only reason I didn't write a good review of him was because I wasn't aware of this site yet.

I really like the picture you chose to lead with, and I think one way-back photo and one tongue picture are enough of that. You and another provider you were traveling with once pounded the hayll out of me on a high-rise hotel balcony one summer night in Atlanta more than a decade ago. I still remember it and would get with you again if you're ever in this city.

Can't say I like that mustache style either, but ain't gonna let that ruin what could otherwise be a good experience. I think I might reach out to him and at least find out his rates.
