You’re right. I have similar experience with U.S. forces and civilians supporting them, and was put in the position where I had to rate them both. Before I learned the unwritten rules, I followed the written ones and was told “oh no, you can’t give him 90 on a 100 point scale. You’ll destroy his career.” Ever since then I’ve rebounded in the other direction, never giving a top score to anyone on any survey. Likewise, I avoid the superlatives. I prefer to say “Harry Masseur thoroughly worked all of my tight spots and left me feeling refreshed and relaxed” over saying “Harry Masseur was AMAZING and gave me the best massage I’ve ever had from any other provider at any time anywhere in the world.”

Superlatives like that make me wonder if the review is legit.

I second the comments in your last paragraph. I’ve been filmed a couple of times by a provider who is on JFF and it is indeed fun, but the stopping and starting is distracting as well as deflating, if you get my drift. I’m strictly a client but if I read positive reviews about a provider in my area (DC/Baltimore) or get emails detailing his quality of service, it increases the likelihood that I will hire him above others for whom I have no firsthand information. As for “breaking” a provider, I’m reluctant to post a negative review for general consumption but will provide negative information in a DM.

I’ve never noticed a change in friendliness from a provider but I have noticed increased distraction during sessions and a change in what one of my old providers offered during those sessions. He checked his phone a lot and I suspected that he was trying to schedule filming sessions with other content providers, and he stopped letting me make him cum, which he admitted was because he was “saving up” for a film session. When I’ve booked several massages from the same provider over a period of time I’ve noticed that the sequence of strokes/events is the same every time so that it becomes predictable. I suspect that these providers have a set routine that they go through and it’s the same for every client. My favorite current provider varies what he does so I never know what’s going to happen, just that it’s going to be hot.

For me therapeutic massage is primarily temporary muscle loosening and stress relief. When I’m at a nice hotel, getting a massage at the hotel spa is also an indulgence. I know the benefits of the massages I get are fleeting but I still enjoy the experience. Erotic massages serve additional purposes, of course.
