When I get a massage I tip the same whether it's a spa or the guy's own place. Somewhere around 20%. The spa I go to provides an envelope with the masseur's name on it, and you drop it into a box on the way out, so hopefully that means they're not skimming off the tips. But I can't really control what happens to the tips in a spa, so just hope the masseur gets compensated fairly. To @jeezifonly's points, the spa covers the overhead, but the pay tends to be way less than what the spa charges. This is true of trainers at gyms too... my trainer at Equinox let me know what their compensation structure was, and it was surprising how small a percentage they get from what the gym charges, unless they have lots of clients. But having overhead covered and a good place to conduct business is significant too. So if you think about it, the masseur in the spa has his overhead covered, but is being paid less. The guy with his own place is keeping his entire fee, but needs to cover his overhead including providing a decent place for business. Maybe that's a spare bedroom, and that has a cost associated with it. So I'd say the same amount for tips regardless.

Yes! Same thing happened to me. It was 5th or 6th grade, and the coach told us we all needed to get jocks. I had to go with my mom to buy one. I still remember going to the drug store with her and it being so awkward. And yet, they never checked to see if anyone was wearing their jocks. I don't think we even changed out of our street clothes for PE at that age, so there was no enforcement and I never wore it again. In middle school we did not have a proper locker room. They adapted a classroom into a changing room instead. Guys would line the walls, and most faced the wall as they changed. So nobody was naked and no showers. In high school there were showers but nobody used them. This was the mid 80s. The exception was a couple of times where a bold upperclassman would shower. Maybe it was my imagination, but when the guys showered, the locker room got a hush, like people were a bit shocked. The locker room in the second high school I went to had the showers in the middle of the locker room and the lockers on the walls surrounding, so everyone at their lockers would get a view of the showers. So if a guy was showering, he was there for all to see. Never saw any of the coaches shower, but as others have mentioned at their schools, there were windows from the coaches' office into the locker room so they could make sure there were no shenanigans. In retrospect it was pretty nasty that we'd go from PE directly to class without showering. I'm sure the teachers hated it. But also they didn't really give us enough time to shower between the end of PE activities and the next class. Plus, it was the 80s and I had a big 80s hairdo, so I couldn't get that wet in a shower! lol

I'd recently let my RM profile expire. In my case it was that I'm needing to focus on some other non-escort stuff so needed to take a step back from the escort work. It was just becoming a bit hard to manage everything. I have regular guys who I will continue to see regardless of whether the RM ad is active or not. Just speaking for myself, but this kind of situation might be the same with others who have let their ads expire - maybe they're focusing on other things. @PetetKsfo did a great job of explaining this. There is a option to set "Availability" and "Not Available" is a setting that the guy can toggle. The default is "Not Set." Here's what it looks like: If the guy chooses "Available" or "Not Available" he then needs to specify a timeframe, anywhere from one hour to one week: So as Pete mentions, setting "Not Available" would indicate the guy is not available right this moment, but is otherwise available at other times. It's a more short-term option, compared to freezing or hiding the listing which would indicate a longer-term absence or limitation.

I've used iMovie for editing, though don't know how that stacks up against other editing programs. I'll also agree with wanting to shoot with natural light. I've done a bunch of stuff with only artificial light, and it always looks a bit sad compared to natural light. You'll still want some spot lights to compensate for shadows.

I don’t understand the issue with this exchange. The client - at your prompting no less - is just asking if you’re available, and you respond by reading him the riot act. How about responding with something like “yes, when would you like to meet?”

Especially this time of year, I'd guess a lot of this would be guys visiting family or friends, as @NYXboy suggests, so would not be able to host. Travel is expensive, so guys might be staying with friends, or traveling with friends or partners. This would make their schedule unpredictable, and not be able to host. Or they're visiting for another reason like a business trip for their other work, and thought maybe they'd see a client or two on the side but not really thinking whether that would be practical. But that's not helpful to the client! And very frustrating. If the guy just isn't set up and available to work, move on.

I have a husband, and we're able to make it work - with boundaries. One of the things is I always tell him who I'm seeing and where, and when I come home I tell him how it went. A number of my clients know about my husband too. One of our agreements is I do not take overnights here in town. He's OK with me doing overnights when I'm away traveling, but says it bugs him knowing I'm in town with someone else. I get it, and stick to our agreement. I also have to be careful not to take too many appointments, because it takes away from our time with each other. If it feels like I'm spending too much time out of the house, I'll decline some appointments. I like spending time with him, so it's not just him having me at home, but also me being able to be at home with him (and the dogs) too. Ordinarily I'd say don't rush to get married, and instead try living together and see how it goes. But you mentioned your guy is an immigrant, so I'm guessing there is a practical side to the marriage proposition. You'd mentioned that you should have known better, and wonder whether your enjoyment of massages makes you a hypocrite.
