I went to my local coffee shop today and noticed a sign on the door saying they would be closing early.  I immediately assumed, like many businesses in the area, they were short staffed once again and didn't have enough staff to cover the hours.
When I went into the shop, there was a table filled with flowers and a sign talking about the store closing for a memorial for one of the workers.  When I got home, I started googling the name of the coffee shop and discovered the obituary.  I was in shock and sad - It was a guy from the store I used to flirt with and he kindly reciprocated.  He was 20 years younger than me and I felt flattered.  I knew he was gay from t-shirts he wore and occasionally ease dropping on his conversations. 
I find myself now wondering how he died.  The obituary states in lieu of flowers, please donate to a suicide prevention charity.    I don't want to read into that, but I find myself wanting to know if he committed suicide.  Why do I want to know?  I just assumed I was too old and too fat for this guy to like me, but maybe he did.  I have visited that coffee shop for over a year.  I wish I would have asked him out.... I have struggled, overcome, and still struggle with depression, but I know how to cope.  I just wish I could have helped him if he was in that dark place.

I remember back in the 90’s and staying at Canyon Club. At the reception desk, there was a sign that offered a % off your hotel bill based on how many inches you measured. 🤣🤣. It’s pretty funny that they were able to get away with that! 

Well, if there is an “economic hurricane” coming…make sure you have the basics covered. If you are single, I recommend having 9 months worth of living expenses in cash or cash equivalents (like CDs) where you can get to it quick if needed.  Then you can start thinking about returns. “Insurance” first, “investments” second. 😉

Or you could go to the show room, where a small platform -- maybe 8'x8' at about 18" high -- was surrounded on three-sides by rows of theatre seating. The dancers would do a slow strip, then do a j/o show. Tippers could usually have a bit of a feel. There would usually be an advertised "headliner" (typically a porn star in from California) who would take to the stage at certain times (like maybe every two or three hours). But a new dancer would hit the stage every 20 minutes or so.
 
I liked how it was just much looser than the structured shows at Gaiety, where the guys tended to be more buff and more beautiful. ShowPalace guys were mostly black or Latin.

all the time I get strange dreams I can't interpret but I also have dreams about things going wrong and I'm happy to wake up and find out they weren't real. 

If the pictures are any indication, he's looking to provide sausage rather than cucumber spa water during a session. Actually, cakes instead of sausage. Price aside, I wouldn't hold my breath for decent massage skills being on the menu.

The orginial poster refered to his experiences at a spa.  I've found at most business establishments the masseurs remain clothed even though sometimes a HE is provided. OP you committed the number one faux pas around here - confused masseuse (female) with masseur (male). May god have mercy on your soul. 

I have been on both sides of this. I was very broke for most of my 20s and definitely had friends help pay for things like expensive celebration dinners and whatnot. One of them for a friend's bachelor party that had a $500 per person dinner that I definitely could not afford at the time. He told me simply that he appreciated all the talks we had when he was first dating his now wife and he wanted me at the dinner whether I could afford it or not. I definitely appreciated it.
Now that I am slightly more comfortable (though still not rich by any means), I try to repay the favor. Because I came out kind of late in life, I have some younger gay friends (like late 20s, early 30s) that I met as I was just exploring gay bars, drag shows, etc. I really value their company and have definitely bought them tickets to concerts that we would both like. Sometimes they are hesitant to accept but I tell them I want to go with someone who would appreciate the shared experience and they gracefully accept the tickets.
I think of it as repaying for the times I was the one accepting the gifts. 

You are a good friend for helping a friend in need. I would take the same approach of suggesting that she keeps the money, if she tries to pay you back. Would not suggest she use it to spluge but rather that she keeps it in reserve for the next inevitable emergency…it happens to all of us and knowing she has it ready to break her fall will likely go a long way to help her restore her spirits, unlike a weekend trip which will be long forgotten by the time the next emergency shows up. My 2c.

Massage is always very good, extras are ok. Your milage may vary. I like to book when I need a good deep tissue massage and HE.
