Clothed vs. unclothed masseuse?

I'm a recent fan of erotic massage in NY, mostly at Energy Men Spa. I've been several times and usually enjoy myself - I'm more interested in the erotic part than the massage part but that's pretty good too.

My question is: the guy giving me the massage always stays clothed. Even during the end part of the massage. This is fine, but I've been curious lately if people have experience in asking the person working on them to "get more comfortable" or anything like that.

Is this something people offer if they want to do it? Or does the client have to ask? Let me know your thoughts, and happy to spill some tea about the boys at Energy if you like...

I typically do not choose a masseuse.  With the masseur, I absolutely prefer for the masseur to be nude, too.  I mean its only fair.  I'm butt naked, you can be, too.

The orginial poster refered to his experiences at a spa.  I've found at most business establishments the masseurs remain clothed even though sometimes a HE is provided. ( usually with a caution from the masseur to be quiet. )   In a more private settting I've experienced it in a number of ways with many times clothes being removed discreetly during the massage.  I do enjoy it when the masseur strips along with you prior to the massage.

My observation too. Most spas have strict guidelines about sexual activity with the customers. They all KNOW what's going on, when it comes to "full release" but they can't afford to get busted, with masseurs naked in the room with a customer. So mutual nudity in this environment is frowned upon.

If you're talking about a resort or hotel or spa, the provider stays fully clothed and the client is well covered.  The provider only exposes the part of the client's body that he/she is working on.  Since I know that it's going to be that way, I'm fine with that.  Providers in those settings are typically highly-skilled and you will get a great massage.

When I go to an individual provider, I usually hire for therapeutic massage and they are partly -clothed - maybe workout shorts and no shirt.  Typically, I am not covered.  Sometimes they surprise me and are completely naked.  

I usually only hire for therapeutic massage.  There aren't really any standards for therapeutic, sensual and erotic, so you don't know what you will get. I get pleasantly surprised enough with therapeutic massages that the others seem like a waste of money.

I massage naked, it’s more natural. I’d be naked 24/7 if it was possible!!

Some clients like me to start the massage in shorts or a jock. I think that works nicely too. I don’t wear anything on my torso. There’s three main reasons and benefits to do the massage naked: 1) body contact is better done naked. I mount the table and in parts of the massage I use my whole body, so nudity is necessary. 2) the oil tends to ruin clothes. Even if you’re careful it gets on clothes and stains them. So it’s simply easier to be naked. 3) some clients like to interact and touch me as I massage them, so they prefer me naked or in a jock that can be removed at some point. 

Of course this is all in a sensual massage environment. Delivering a therapeutic non sensual non erotic massage I wear shorts and t shirt.

Tossing in MY two cents: MY personal go-to preference is a mix of therapeutic and erotic with a clothed provider.

I DO absolutely WANT a MASSAGE...not an escort. ( I think that's a very important distinction in these conversations. )

What gets me along the road to "full release" is NOT a full nude massage, but a masseur who is first clothed, then takes off his shirt as we get going. Working in just a pair of light athletic shorts.  I like a bit of mystery about how things are going to get from therapeutic to erotic with any new masseur, so I DON'T micromanage their style.

What has always been most exciting is the transition while face down getting my back worked on, and I can't see the masseur. Working his way onto my glutes and in and around my nether regions starts the ball rolling.  Flipping over to discover a now fully nude young man is my trigger point.  (Even more exciting if they have an erection too.)

I must share I feel the same way about pornography. I have never much been a fan of "full frontal" whether it be with men or women. I do like titillation. I like a bit of mystery and I like a build up, rather than "ZERO to SIXTY" style of most gay porn (..at least what I've seen.)  Likewise: I am NOT a fan of any provider who does exactly that - Rubs my back for five minutes and then starts to jerk me off. ( I literally can't get hard when they do that ! ) So I also don't really like to get right to the nudity part.  This is why "strippers" are still exciting, at a time where you can find nudity everywhere.
