I also read the review text and his ad's narrative. We know Rentmen will remove negative reviews at the advertiser's request, so he could have had at least one of them removed. Instead, he chose to leave them up and explain the issue as he sees it. To me, that lends a bit more credence to his side than if he had simply had the review/reviews removed.
Re: video "quality." This could mean different things such as a grainy, low-res, out of focus video (which would run counter to the claim that his boundaries were not respected) or the content is not what the client was expecting. Using a silly example, if the customer wants a vid of him fucking a roll of Cottonelle toilet paper, he says "hey man, I don't do toilet paper. Kleenex tissues with lotion or nothing," the client agrees and then doesn't like the content (i.e. the content's quality) it is plausible that he did not respect the escort's/content creator's boundaries. (No TP rolls, just Kleenex with lotion) As for the no-show, it is possible he showed up and the client was pissed 'cuz he wanted Cottonelle play, Not probable, but possible.
Before the masses grab their pitchforks, leash their hungry/mean dogs, and head for Phoenix, here's a real-life example.
There's a guy in town who advertised as being straight, would only do muscle worship, and/or go on dates/events, I happen to know him, hired him, and reviewed him and also know that he was dead-on serious about his limits. A guy reached out to me asking about the provider's services. Before I had a chance to answer, the guy had hired him and was upset because the provider wouldn't let the guy suck his dick. His comment to me was "I didn't realize he was serious when he told me he was straight and only got into muscle worship."

So...it is somewhat probable that something similar occurred with the reviewer who claimed he didn't show when, in fact, the provider did show up but the experience was not to the client's liking because his expectations ran counter to what was discussed.
Pet the attack dogs for me, would you?

Ugh - how sad. People joke about someone backing up too far when they are taking a picture at the edge of a cliff, but when someone actually falls it's no joke.

I used to subscribe to his OF. Several times he said "sorry guys, I am not into men" so I am taking that as "no, he does not escort."

I don't see this as a sign of catfishing. To me, it is a guy who didn't think through a hashtag.
FWIW, his ad now has the line "...looking to please other men’s desires as my master wishes..." He mentions being an owned slave. Master/slave relationships where the "slave" is "owned" by the "master" are not all that uncommon.

Native Chicagoan here (grew up in the city when the street signs were black on yellow).
The Chicago metropolitan and combined statistical areas comprise nine Illinois counties (Cook, DuPage, Lake, McHenry, Kane, Will, and parts of DeKalb, LaSalle, and Boone counties.), part of one Wisconsin county (Kenosha), and four Indiana counties (Lake, Porter, Jasper, and Newton).  The City of Chicago and its inner suburbs are in Cook County, while the remaining counties and the suburbs within them make up the "collar counties." Therefore, the suburbs in Indiana could be classified as the "east suburbs," but they are usually referred to as part of the south suburbs or as the "Indiana suburbs." They are also known as "the places you can get cheap cigarettes."
So...not exactly right to call them "East suburbs," but not exactly wrong, either.
@BenjaminNicholas, you know better! Those are Chicago neighborhoods.
Regarding Naperville: While it is true that it is an upper middle-class suburb that's pretty much like every other upper middle-class suburb, Naperville thinks of itself as being A Very Special, Unique, and Important Place that is as significant to the region as is Chicago. Don't get me wrong, Old Naperville is charming, but Naperville it is a bedroom community and has been for more than a century. That's why Naperville gets made fun of. In days of yore (like the 1970's and 1980's) Schaumburg was the butt of jokes because it was a rapidly-developing suburb that was pretty much devoid of culture beyond the yogurt aisle at Jewel. The difference is Schaumburg was well aware that it was a suburb of Chicago and did not have the delusions of grandeur that Naperville has.
