Really??? Or is this like being "Elton John Bi" in the 80's? Bro Jobs are just the

intermediate denial step on the road to Hosting "Bro's Next Best Fellatio Friends" or

RuPaul's "Who Really is a Big Fairy Mary?"

Bro-Jobs just seems like another excuse not to come out as gay or bi -- to reap the pleasure while holding onto the public persona and societal protections of being Straight ====

"Oh Im not Gay I just like to Suck my Buddies Cock - Swallow his load and have him piss in my mouth -- But I am totally Str8t!"

Meh, I think it's just more that the something like 35% of the population that is bi feels more comfortable giving it a go. And that's a big enough chunk of the population that statistical clustering leads to pools of people who think everybody does it and pools of people who think nobody does it.

Like those straight bros you know who ONLY have really good looking friends and are continually posting shirtless /seminude pics of themselves on instagram? They're dabbling. The others? not so much.

I do not take very seriously this article, but if they are reporting on an actual trend it would be very interesting. After all the birth of the gay identity is fairly recent, and we do not know how sexual identities are going to evolve.

An excellent example of the internet facilitating attention-seeking behaviors.

Not every opinion or article, even those that may accurately interpret some behaviors, merits publication.

C'mon... I did that in the navy in the late 50's.

Now straight men get women so easily, why would they do that?

I don't think it's quite as easily as it's made out to be on MTV et al. There's still a lot of slut-shaming that goes on with females. While there are certainly more sexually adventurous females than in the past, I think there are significantly fewer women willing to give it up on first meeting than men.

Also, that article is completely content and data-free and just makes assertions without providing a shred of evidence or even a fucking anecdote.

I don't understand why it's so impossible that a man should develop a curiosity about same sex activities. Men who can think for themselves will realize that, if they don't like it, they don't have to keep doing it, and if they like it, they can decide how much room to give it in their lives.

I know a guy who, well into adulthood, found out from his mother that his dead father had been a Jew. She kept this information a secret from him. He said that he had always "felt" like a Jew, so this new information sort of completed him. He started going to temple and hanging out with other Jews, and generally just became uber-Jewish.

I've wondered what I would do with such a piece of information. I don't think I would have become an uber Jew. I would have just appreciated it as another interesting fact about my life.

Everything has changed so rapidly. Gay people no longer hide. Gay and straight guys are posting their cock pics everywhere and are jerking off on Cam4, Skype and other places for each other . I am not surprised that there is more and more "cock bro" action going on. It was always there but is just more out in the open now.

In the freshman all male 12 story dormitory in which I spent my first college year, each floor had a resident advisors (RA) who would act as big brothers to the residents of the floor. Each RA each would try to have the residents develop social bonds. These bonds made dorm life a lot easier. I know of at least of three of the floors in which the RA used the "circle jerk" early in the academic year as a bonding experience for floor members.

In the early morning hours, the RA rousted the floor members from their rooms and called them into the common area. Alcohol was supplied and eventually, the RA first gave a unity speech, then had toasts to the friendship and fraternity of the floor and then encouraged communal masturbation to unify the "brotherhood of the floor." While not exactly a "bro job" the one I attended did not allow the residents to return to bed until each one had dropped the seed. I cannot imagine that going on now in a school sponsored dorm, though some fraternity initiations ask much more of pledges. In actuality, it did have the desired effect, at least for the guys on the Tenth Floor of Tower Hall.

Added pressure was that the last one to shoot had to the mop the floor.

I'll believe this when giving women oral sex becomes a trend among gay men. The more likely explanation is that more young bi men who have thus far only had straight sex are now testing the waters.

Another featured story in this pantheon of journalism is "Meet the Woman Who Can Lift Weights With Her Vagina."

No, I'm NOT interested in giving her oral sex.

On the other hand, I'm down with giving brojobs

I think young guys today, at least in urban areas, are mostly unconcerned about who's gay and who isn't. My sons went to an all-boys catholic school, where there were openly gay students and teachers, where marriage equality was celebrated, and nobody seems to have batted an eye. So it stands to reason that a person with bi tendencies would be more comfortable experimenting than would have been the case in the past. I don't know if that makes oral sex between straight guys a "trend," but those who would have been afraid to try such a thing because of society's judgement might not have such an inhibition today. My guess is some try it and decide it's not for them, some try it and decide it's what they prefer, and some try it and decide it's an option they can choose when it appeals. There are so many reasons growing up now is different from what I, at 41, went through, and I know for those of you who are older than me it must be the same or more so.

As I always understood it, one of the consequences of gay liberation would be the vanishing of gayness. Once all different ways to express sexuality are equally accepted, it is reasonable to expect the melting of all those categories that oppress us now, and the development of the ability to feel attraction for people beyond gender.

Power to Brojobs!

Perhaps I need to join the navy?

35%? where is that number from?

This might come across as a quibble. I think there are still many guys (mostly older for obvious life-course reasons) leading double lives - which is kind of hiding.

Sure, but not they have women available and 1 out of 9 gets raped while serving.

Probably why I haven’t joined the navy or army over here, innit.

I have a straight friend who every month or so texts me to say he is very horny. We meet up, blow each other and leave. He continues to maintain he is totally straight. I don't care. I like giving and getting.

Why don't believe he is straight? He may not be into dicks, only into yours. If you think that kind of people don't exist, you need to hit the streets. (I am using the impersonal "you", not addressing you, @Chuckball ).
