I've hired across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia - literally hundreds of hires - and have never once been asked to pay up front. Nor would I agree to do so. Too many other options out there to justify doing something that would make me feel uncomfortable.

Dear Mr Escort,

Thank you for responding to my inquiry about meeting this Friday at 7:00 pm for a one hour session.

In regard to your statement in your email informing me of payment required before the session starts:

The barber I go to gets paid after he cuts my hair.

The restaurant I eat at gets paid after I've eaten.

The plumber I hired gets paid after he has completed the job.

The accountant who does my taxes gets paid after he files my taxes.

The doctor I see gets paid after he has seen me.

But you think I'm gonna pay you BEFORE you have provided your services?!?!

Freaking hell NO.

And now that your asking me to pay before, I'll take my business elsewhere, thank you.

Wait till I tell all my friends on Daddys all about your BS! And yes, I use names.

Cheers,

Josh

I have never paid up front and never will.

Unlike the post above (which in theory I agree with but not it's confrontational tone),

I respect anyone's right to conduct their business anyway they choose.

However, I vote with my wallet and my feet...not my mouth.

I certainly wouldn’t hold this requirement against someone or call it BS. There are many businesses—particularly those involving a lot of flaky clients—where deposits, retainers, and up-front payments are required. I think people are entitled to run their business as they see fit, and if they get enough clients to go along with this, more power to them.

Having said that, I would personally be very hesitant about up front payment. There are plenty of flaky escorts too, after all. It also runs against my experience with this hobby—I literally don’t think I’ve ever been asked for payment upfront and only a couple of guys have asked me to put their fee on the table.

For me personally I prefer cash at the end of the session. But if it makes the client feel better paying before hand or leaving the payment on a table in an envelope I'm fine with that. I'm flexiable enough to go with the flow and do what will put the other guy at ease.

Hugs,

Greg

With an unknown guy, a white envelope placed in clear view after a few minutes of chat to get a clear vibe of how things are going to go.

I've been asked for payment in advance two times.

One was by a visiting guy who was not very experienced and seemed to be following some rules someone told him. He said something like "you're supposed to pay me in advance".

The other was by a scammer... I foolishly gave it to him despite several red flags... he even commented "sometimes guys have buyer's remorse or whatever". I certainly did.

Many business professionals require payment up front and some do not. I personally can understand why a male escort would require payment upfront. As a female provider, I personally require payment to be placed in plain sight (in an unsealed envelope) before an engagement may proceed.

If you are bothered with a payment upfront policy, I would suggest having some type of rapport beforehand with the escort you plan to hire. By doing this, you will be able to gauge the integrity of the escort, and be able to identify any plans the escort may have to defraud you. This would be a far better approach than insisting on paying afterward.

A reasonable compromise if you really want to see them is tell them you will have the money ready in an envelope, show them, and then leave it to on a table.

This is what I generally do.

An interesting observation: I can recall only two hires where the escort picked up the envelope before the session, then counted and pocketed the cash. Both provided a very lousy escort experience.

Not the same. Your examples all have legal remedies (and the plumber may also be able to get a lien) that are not available to the escort.

The handful of times I've encountered insistent "pay upfront" requests are with guys who are really skittish & reserved and outright ripoffs. Neither works out well.

I can understand making the request if a client is sketchy or there's something weird about the vibe or situation but that works both ways.

I pay upfront. In an envelope inside a copy of a favourite book which I present to the escort upon his arrival.

I've never had a problem of any sort. They don't even bother to count the cash. Maybe my display of complete trust at the onset charms them and warms their hearts? Maybe I'm lucky? Maybe I choose well?

I have only been asked once or twice the most to pay up front. I don't take it as an insult if I've never met the escort but it changes the atmosphere quickly. Not to perform but it would put me off slightly. If I see that escort again and asked to pay up front I'm done with that escort....

Had my first experience with an escort in October and it was amazing. The session was so good that I almost forgot to pay him before he left.

Since then I've been looking for my second experience with an escort but for various reasons it hasn't happened yet (mainly on my end). I came across two different ads, both guys are stunning, and both are asking to be paid upfront. I told both no because I've read many stories of the customer being jerked during the session. I know it happens in reverse also to escorts, so I just wanted to ask as a customer...

Pay before or after? I can't see myself paying before unless it's a really reputable escort

The east coast tends to ask for payment upfront~

I find that personally rude and dangerously close to "prostutution"~

My own code of ethics is: I do not collect payment until after we have shared our time

together~ I never count the cash in front of a Client and I never pick money up off a table~

I ask Client to put it in my pocket after our time together~

I'm being paid for my time... Being paid after the session substantiates that better~

It also allows my Client to adjust the amount

should they ask me to stay longer than originally scheduled or for some reason we have to cut our session short or perhaps they might like to leave a tip at times~

  • 1 month later...

First time I hired was in Cape Town, South Africa. The guy told me on the phone that he liked payment up front. Newbie me happily went along with it. We had an amazing time, I never felt concern that he was going to rip me off, and I asked him to stay for extra innings, so I had to do the wallet fumble at the end anyway.

Still giddy about the experience, I decided to stay over in NYC for a night after flying home from SA. Having not found this board yet, I hired a well-known porn dude after whom I'd always lusted. Thinking myself the expert by this time, I tried to give him the fee beforehand. He immediately told me to put it away, suggesting that it raised legal concerns both for him (am I a cop?) and me (evidence that our time together was pay-for-play). Sounded right to me. Experience turned out to be crap (if only I'd found this board first ;-)), but I paid him for time and sent him on his way.

Since then, I've done the "put the money in plain sight" thing, not had a problem. Only one guy has ever since implied that he wanted to be paid upfront. Since he didn't ask directly, I dodged his hints, left the money visible as usual. I guess once he saw me and the envelope his concerns were alleviated.

I usually tip and tip well. After feeling slightly awkward about digging through my wallet at the end of our time together, I now simply take the potential tip money and leave it in a drawer so I can access it quickly. Frankly, at this stage and after a couple of flaky guys, I don't think I'd ever hire a guy who insisted on payment in advance.

I have also had a couple clients be so dazed after our date that they almost forget to pay but it's never turned into any sort of hassle.

Did that once with a guy who used to be a presence on this board. Had a great time, he invited me to join him for a late dinner. I eagerly agreed and, endorphins flowing, happily put on my coat and backpack. He gave me a wry smile, which made me realize my carefully crafted plan re payment had fallen through and the envelope was still tucked away in my backpack. He laughed and joked about it, then we went off to have a great dinner. Chris, on the chance you still peek at these boards, I hope this finds you happy and well.

You pay upfront during the following conditions:

If you are flying him out or he has to travel extensively, you send a deposit.

If PNP is involved.

On the latter, I suppose if you are going to partake as well. I don't and have had 3 guys either sneak into the bathroom to indulge or ask me while they were swallowing/inhaling. Just a titch too late. But, that brings me to a separate thread I've been meaning to start -- "What to do when your escort falls into a G-hole."

If pre-pay makes you uncomfortable (except maybe when there's travel involved), I'd pass. Like I said, in my experience, very few guys ask for/insist upon payment up front.

I usually put the pre-planned tip with the fee in a bank envelope. It's either in my pants pocket or suitcase if it's an overnight. If there's a problem, I remove the tip (discreetly) and put it in my pocket.
