There are several guys who post over 100 times per month, some who don't let a thread go by without chipping in, and then there are guys who rarely post but seem to follow the discussions.

So how many Hooville addicts do we have here? Do you check in every day, every week, or every hour?

Add me to the addicted list. I check in daily. Some threads interest me lots; too many tho are about people attacking each other. These I pass over in silence. Mostly I'm a listener.

I guess I'm one of the addicted ones also. I browse this site every morning before I leave for work to see what was posted overnight and again after I get home from work, usually a couple of times. After all I guess I need my daily bowl of "Lucky charms"! :)

Absolutely addicted!!

I check in at least once a day. The hard thing is being able to check in when I'm traveling. It's not that I don't have a computer. It's that it is a company-owned computer. I'm hesitant to come here for fear that the MIS spies will see where I've gone.

I know how to clear my cache, cookies, and history. I've also got the ability to log-on via my ISP and not their network. But couldn't they still determine where I've gone on-line? Anyway to adequately "clean" a company computer?

Lucky,

as you well know I post here often whether I am in my right mind or not (although that doesn't seem to be a requirement from what I read sometimes). I agree with the poster who said the threads that become personal back and forth diatribes soon lose my interest. But Hooville is a daily morning habit with first cup of coffee and then off and on during the day. Have made some good aquaintances here who have offered advice and encouragement in public and in private. Since I work out of my home it's a lot easier to check in and it provides a nice alternative to outside.

GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY of being ADDICTED you bet check it many times a day and can't get my morning start without it. Better than coffee. I go parnoid when Hoo is running late but I do understand. Love to check out the boy/man of the day and then reviews and on to Message Center and never leave without my good buddy Devon's Diary. I don't leave home with out it. Going strong at almost 300. HUGS Chuck:9

Addicted. It's a daily thing, but I just don't have time for another 12-step group!

Although...

Step 1. Came on Rick Munroe's chest

Step 2. Turned over our will to Gino Mancuso

Step 3. Came to believe that a power more dominate than ourselves could drive us to ecstacy.

Step 4...

Oh, I'll just stop now before I have to do a fourth step on this elsewhere.:7

Another guilty party here !! I check in each morning while I have my 2 cups of coffee before leaving for work, and then again at night. I post occasionally, but mostly just an observer. I live in a rather small town/city and this is my link to the "outside world", my Sears catalogue to compile my wish list. Really enjoy comments from some regular posters (such as Will and Rick Munroe and Les). Two things bug me: (1) Posters who use all caps whey typing, and (2) Posters who insert quotes from previous sources (it makes it VERY hard to read ).

Happy Holidays Everyone !

count me in as a two time a day person; once in the morning and in the evening. i do not post as much as i use to and only if i have something to contribute that is helpful or positive. i have met some nice people through this site. also, as a closeted gay person, this site has helped me grow and be partly "out". i do not feel the isolation i did before.

Another addict that has to start my day with a Hooboy fix. I start with the Newest Reviews then to Devon's Diary and on to the Message Center. I always check to see if my favorites have posted (Good morning Rick) and Monday isn't the same without NYO's Gaiety review. I post on occasion and my only objection is when the threads become menopausal. Have a great day boys!!!

I'm one of those "once a day" people...usually read around lunch hour time. I usually read the Newest Reviews then go to the rest of the message centers but will only read the topics that interest me. I then will only post if I feel I have something to contribute and then will STICK TO THE TOPIC...If I see that the topic has been hijacked I stay away.

I am forced to confess that I'm an addicted party to this board and have been for the past nine or ten months. Daily I venture here--once--twice--and sometimes three times. The only time that I find myself not being here is when I am away from home.

Perhaps as one of my new year's resolutions I will begin to ween myself (slowly) from this board.

RE: Hooville Anonymous

Lucky, Thanks for helping us admit to our addiction to "M4M". The first step in getting help with any problem is to recognize that you have an addiction. "Yes, I am a Hooville addict"...I don't know how it all began, perhpas it started by reading all those "explicit" (lol) reviews on escort encounters or being fasinated by the message board, but I'm hooked... Like Kenny, I'm a selective addict. I avoid threads which seem to kick people when they are down or bash someone's beliefs. Politics and religion don't belong on a board that's purpose is to discuss escorts...I also avoid members who constantly change their user-names. That's not called an addiction, but an obession... Lucky, good idea for a thread and I hope you are going to provide us with some therapy! Happy Holidays, Coop

RE: Hooville Anonymous

" Hi, my name is glutes, and I'm a Hoo-addict..." I check twice a day, and even from internet cafes whilst abroad. Mostly only the Message Center, since most of the reviews I don't believe. This is a very special and niche family here boys (and girls), everyone have a safe and prosperous holiday and New Year!!

I discovered this site about three years ago, and since then I have needed an M4M fix almost every day. I have always loved to write reviews, but never had an opportunity to cover this subject. My first reviews actually covered about twenty years of escort experiences,

before Hoo got serious about parameters. Since I never go near a computer when I am away from home, I manage to break the addiction whenever I go on vacation, but then I have all those old reviews and threads to read when I get back. I now read and respond a lot more selectively than I did in the early days.

Yes, Yes, Yes. I visit this site at least three times a day. When I get up in the morning, at lunchtime, and before going to bed. I enjoy it more than watching TV.

Some really nice replies guys! I hope Hooboy is reading because this should surely put him in a good mood to know how appreciated his site is.

As for me, yes, I am addicted. I have been posting since March, 2000. I chose my name because I flew from New York to San Francisco with Johann Paulik and Lucas Ridgeston. We actually slept together, although we were not in the same row of the plane! If that had been the case, I would have been Super-Lucky!

Hopefully our Hooville addiction doesn't get out of hand, no pun intended. If it does, I suggest a cold shower and a few weeks of reading Andrew Sullivan's website. Then you will be ready to come back here!

And for those of you who don't want to admit your addiction, we know who you are....don't we?

I have been reading these message boards at least once a day (except when on vacation) for a great big whopping time. This is at least my third format here. I try not to post so much any more because A. We have grown so exponentially from the size we used to be. I couldn't read all the new threads any more from just plain lack of time. And there are so many new, good speakers. I don't want to get in their way. Which brings us to B. I got to where I was posting just too often. And getting fewer and fewer responses. Which brings us to C. I found myself getting way too serious. This was turning off people who tried to read me, and, of course, possible clients. But it was turning me off, too!! Which is even more important. Now, if I think of something serious to say, I can wait a day and someone else probably will have said it for me. And by the time I think of something witty to say, I usually don't even have to wait the day out.

Heheheh.

I have to agree with the above posters who say that they come here to read Rick Munroe. That guy just cracks me up and I love to jerk off to his crack. :p Seriously, thanks, & count me in as a fellow addict. Whenever the site is down for maintenance or upgrades, I go through withdrawal and I have to do things like...suck off my boyfriend or give him a massage. Life is hard, isn't it? }(
