Please don't misunderstand ... nothing funny about happened to this soldier, but I have to crack up at the description of "wounded."  Make sure to click on the video to get the full picture.

People were much more resilient back then.  Cannonball blows away your right lung?  A poultice properly employed will evidently take care of that.

Actually… the proper treatment back in those days was to lay the “wounded” soldier on his back with the armor on, take three chickens, some rosemary and thyme, make a large kettle of chicken soup and ladle the soup into the depression on the armor~ Then ring the metal triangle a few times and yell: Supper’s Ready~!

 Never waste a good bowl~
