Meet and Greet Mixer? (sorry if this isn't the right topic)

After seeing so many mixed reviews on so many providers, and Im not sure about all ya'll, but I don't have infinite funds to hire and get to know alll the escorts, although I'd love to... but has anyone every had the idea (besides a strip club) to create a sort of meet and greet mixer night? I know I know... that sounds so lame and out dated, but seriously though, maybe we pool some resources and get a private space somewhere and make a little moment out of it, where providers and clients can commingle and get the real 411... doesnt need to be anything so formal, debauchery and fuckery is always welcome, but more than that, just a short and sweet power hour or two or seeing the guys we keep talking about so frequently in person, and getting a sense for their vibe, and then them for us... curious to hear your feedback.

Our April gathering in Palm Springs, hosted by Oliver has been just that.   It is a nice chance for providers and clients to meet socially and spend time together, to get to know each other, see old friends, and enjoy company off the clock.  Certainly there is some 'sizing up' of each other and requests for appointments  outside of the group gatherings.

I think it would be great to do likewise at other times of the year too, and perhaps in other locations -  Perhaps New York, San Francisco, elsewhere.    I heard that there might have been for a while in DC that was similar to the Palm SPrings event.

 

I would be interested.

Have you considered a simple video call to check the vibe with potential providers?

There was an East Coast version of the Palm Springs gathering in Washington, DC. It occurred over the MLK weekend. It coincided with Mid-Atlantic Leather, which is smaller version of Chicago's IML. I went twice pre-Covid. We filled a few tables at a Sunday brunch, and a smaller group had dinner one night at Annie's.

Some providers just did this in NYC. I wanted to go but had a prior commitment. If people want to organize it, I’m happy to help but we need to make it worth the providers time.

I helped organize the DC one a couple of times. It was fun, and at its peak there were about 30 guys at the brunch. It petered out with the pandemic. Also its downside: DC in January can be butt freezing, so it's not everyone's cup of tea.

There were also a couple of meet-ups in Chicago (one coinciding with IML), and I put together a small one when I was visiting Atlanta one year. I had an airbnb so hosted a brunch.

With any of these, the main thing is having someone take the lead on organizing, and arranging the venue and date. Then secondarily, rallying the troops. The Palm Springs gathering has been the most successful because it's in a place lots of people want to visit, it's got a time-tested event schedule, and it has a fantastic well-organized host with @Oliver. Naked guys in swimming pools is a draw too. It also started small but has grown over the years to what is has become now.

The PS gathering was a lot of fun! I highly encourage folks in the area to come if you can.

Thank you for your points, Nate. In addition to the cold factor, some of the clubs we visited like, Ziegfild's and Secrets, have closed. Perhaps Florida is a better venue.
