I asked AI to do a 50-state review, and it found 7:  Arizona, Illinois, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Texas.  NC for soliciting; Illinois for patronizing.

(Texas prosecuted about 1700 johns in 2022 and again in 2023.)

Illinois surprises me.

I don't really have the money to hire anymore. I have occasionally thought about doing it if I ever saved enough money. But as I live in Texas, I think I'll not even really think about doing it for real-fantasizing about hiring is of course a different kettle of fish.

Thank gosh my sex drive is so low these days, but if I had the sex drive I had even in my 40's along with the money to hire, I could see my weekends being filled up with out of state travel.

I’m sure many of you were too young to remember the scandal on the United States Senate. It was announced that several senators were having sex with their teenage male pages. Of course it all got very hushed up very quickly. I wonder how much of it is still going on

Was it in the Senate? My recollection was that it was in the House and it involved Representatives on both sides of the aisle, and included both underaged women and men. This was in the late 70’s/early 80’s. Gerry Studds, a Representative from Massachusetts, came out as gay on the House floor; I remember seeing it on the news … back when “the news” was on once a day, lol. Was there a similar scandal in the Senate? (Forgive my ignorance.) And as for if it’s still going on … well, over 20 years ago a very nice, very attractive man of my acquaintance, whom I was “sponsoring”, accepted a position as a Congressional page (he was in college at the time) and he reported to me that certain Congressmen were still very much engaging in that sort of activity with their male AND female pages.

Forgive me if I sound stupid (Lord knows I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed), but that doesn’t seem like a very large number given the size and population of Texas. I’d be curious as to where most of those prosecutions occurred. I’m not asking anyone to do the research; I’m simply musing.

1700 out of the overall Texas population isn't the number to compare against, it'd be out of the Texas population that actively hires. And there isn't a reliable data point for that.

I'd love to know that figure-the total then broken down by males and females-and those who hire guys, those who hire women, and those who hire both.

"Obviously a woman cannot do whatever she wants with her body. What an odd claim to make in 2026!"

Not in the Islamic world, but in the Western World, yes!

Try getting an abortion in 13 states. (And spare me the anti Muslim bigotry. The Western World is home to fundamentalist Christianity.)
