Employment challenges creating new escorts?

Im hearing a lot about it being impossible for new graduates to find satisfactory employment in the current economy, for a variety of reasons, most valid.

Is anyone seeing an influx of newbies dipping their, um, toe in the water to see if they can make this a temporary living or side-hustle?

The only thing I’ve noticed, which I commented on in another post some time back, is that a lot of providers who had not advertised for years, returned this and last year. To me that was a sure sign there was an economic downturn.

The waves of layoffs are creating some to try this a a short-term side hustle until they find new employment especially in expensive big cities.  I recently met one and he said point blank that's why he was meeting up with guys.  He was constantly being hit up for so decided to try out the last few months.

A little bit. What i really am seeing personally is a large increase in monetized sex life guys on hookup apps seeking "generous" encounters/arrangements (basically escorts just without the professionalism or desire to more broadly advertise) and OF/Twitter adult content creators. And i definitely think it's economy influenced. I think a lot of those generous seeking guys would be on RM but just want to be somewhat DL about what they're doing by just keeping it to a hyper local pool of people rather than be out there advertising on a large scale via RM. Or they just don't know about RM and sites like it yet.

I've similarly noticed an increase in social media guys who had no interest in selling explicit content, and would even get mad if you asked them about it, now launching OFs/Twitters/UV.Clubs. Guys who are gay/bi and straight alike. More adult content creators who don't do the same numbers as A list OF/Twitter/porn guys do are dabbling in escorting as well to help ends meet. Definitely all very much related in my opinion.

The influencer economy may have peaked.  Brands getting more selective so the ones with smaller followings are finding reality isn't the IG fab life they presented to everyone.  Saw one reel of a fitness influencer just about begging for help because he didn't want to have to admit his parents were right about pursuing an influencer career move was a bad idea.

I’ve definitely noticed an uptick in providers in this area in the last couple of years. $4.00 a gallon gas doesn’t help anyone except Big Oil! But I don’t know if it’s necessarily lack of employment as much as level of employment and affordability. I don’t think it’s hard to find a $15 an hour job around here but that’s not a living income. One provider told me he was making $300K+ a year when he was more active.  That’s practically impossible to make in the traditional economy with only a HS education.

Side note, completely unrelated: same provider told me he paid taxes on his income as well. I was impressed. Even has a tax guy. He has a registered LLC as an adult entertainer and keeps a log of transactions.  A good citizen!

Lots of escorts and masseurs have indicated to me that they declare all of their income. 

Life is easier when one's not trying to hide something.  That's true about living life outside of the closet as well as paying income taxes.  The Truth will set you free!

I know two guys that do the same. One setup as business as personal trainer.  The other one as a personal co concierge business.  Both pay and file taxes so they have income history and can apply for loans to buy a house.  Even after they bought their house they continued to declare their income though not all of it now.  Maybe 30% less.  They deduct all expenses related to work from the business.  Food, hotel, travel, advertising etc.  Both have Amex Platinum cards tied to their business.  Always surprised how few guys run it as a real business.

Interestingly. I've noticed several new guys on RM from the past few months, but I've also noticed a number of long-time providers whose profiles are expired. More than seems common. I wonder if they've moved on to another gig or if they have a set number of regulars and don't want to deal with new people.

And unless they are great at saving, the more they declare the higher social security will be.  And it will always be there, since politicians don't have the nerve to cut it.

One of the great benefits of declaring income and paying taxes. That and Medicare.
