Well, for this discussion, I think first it is necessary to define what sex is. 

My opinion - sex is when 2 people (any gender) give each other an orgasm. 

Then virginity follows from that root definition - virginity is lost when 2 (or more I suppose) people have sex, any kind of sex as long as it fills the definition above. 

This definition allows that 2 gay guys giving each other oral only or have topped or bottomed, have lost their virginity. 

At least that is how I see it.
