I have somehow never (that I can remember) engaged in public sex, nor have I attended a sex party / orgy. For some reason, I am now finding myself more and more intrigued. So I’m wondering, for those of you in NYC, do any of you ever go to The Ramble in Central Park? From what I can see on Sniffies, it seems to be v popular, and I hear it’s a wide range of guys. Is it a total thrill or kinda creepy?

I’m also curious about the Lodge and Scum events that seem to take place daily. Does anyone here go? How are they?

I've been to the Lodge, and reported my experiences here:

I'll probably visit the Bear party two more times on my trip to NYC later this month.

I didn't realize the ramble was still a popular hook up spot. I used to get a lot of action there when I was in my late 20s.

The risk is always the boys from Harlem who lurk in the darkness with knives, waiting until you have your pants around your ankles and threaten to cut off your dick if you don't hand over your wallet.

pubic_assistance! get to the rambles...a 50 something dad bod is so desirable among the twenty year olds...just saying...I swim in city pools and at the YMCA and well into my 60's...young guys cruise me relentlessly...something that I never expected...somehow I am coping and dealing with it...it's a struggle I know...so get your naked ass body out there and enjoy

But I am guessing these arent the 20 somethings who I would want to fuck. 

I certainly get cruised by 20-somethings all the time...but they are the skinny effeminate type looking for a rich daddy to take them shopping.

Never did the rambles or the fire island meat rack, or any similar outdoor places, BUT frequent flyer at sex clubs and parties - current and past.... i would say choose carefully - some cater more to the stand and pose types, some are pure sexy fun! in the latter you can encounter many types of guys, all coming together for shared horniness.

as for me, i don't like the dark spaces that some guys gravitate to - the "unknown" doesn't work for me: but as a pure voyeur/exhibitionist i know i have had some very good times, and i hope i have provided others with good times there.

go with high expectations, and make them come true. stay sane and sober. make good choices but try to put pre-existing judgments aside, even if for just a little while. if you feel judged, move on. sex parties succeed on shared energies... not the negative energy of guys who seem to think they are better than others, as we see here at times. it's fun to be with other men who love sex.

I haven't been back to NYC post Covid, but I have always loved the Rambles in the daytime...fresh air, no smoke, you can see what you're getting, and everybody wanting something. The only danger is running into the old ladies in tennis shoes watching birds while you're en flagrante dilicto. Even then, you ignore them, they ignore you.

My impression — from checking Sniffies — is that it gets most crowded from before sunset to like midnight or so — esp on Saturdays. And the variety of guys who say they’re there on Sniffies is very wide. I imagine there are many more who are not on Sniffies who go, but…???
I’d want to walk thru during the day to get my bearings.
