Certainly face pics; date when photos were uploaded from Cali, Colombia (and more importantly, inside or outside the US); etc. It is good that you have contacted law enforcement about his felonious activities -- he will continue to ask for more, like any bully or swindler, until he is pushed back. Also agree with @Thelatin that immigration may be appropriate. The most dangerous criminals, including extortionist felons, should be held accountable for their crimes. ICE maintains an anonymous tipline, and add that piece of law enforcement, as seems plausible from IG. This I would not tell him (but would do). Awesome investigative work!! + PhileasFogg Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I think we should start a post of known scammers and hustlers. if someone has their foot on your throat, you have to push them off or die. i would not block him as this may be a line of communication to put the legal noose of law enforcement around his neck. I would also not back down, but I’m wired to fight in a fight/flight situation. I’ve been extorted once. I simply picked up the phone in the presence of the extorter, called the threatened target, told them everything (in the presence of the extorter), hung up and said “ok, now how do you feel about your leverage on me?” add to this, if they took alleged pictures while you were drugged, the criminal activity started there BeHappy and jcmiami1 1 1
BeHappy Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Save any text that are threatening as well! A simple screenshot of the text they sent and an explanation of extortion solved all of my problems!

Therefore, you should block him from your phone and ignore the door if he returns to your place to confront you. Did you not notice his "rentmen" one star review (from a few months back) that told a negative story about him. Here is the short narrative the reviewer wrote on rentmen's site about his experience with the "escort": "Santos was unprofessional and completely uninterested. Worst of all, he stole from me during our session. I realized money was missing right after he left, and he ignored my messages. Stay away!" When I look on Rent.Men or Rentmen.eu I never see detailed comments like this. I only see the stars rating and the basic 4 questions.

I'm not sure why that's odd, but here goes. The "bankers" are the guy I had to talk to about getting the money wired into my account and the woman at the bank who did the wire to my scammer. Both of them encouraged me to refuse to play along, and they were right. And I went to the sheriff's department because I was in a panic and afraid. He referred me to their fraud department, which turned out to be less helpful--but thanks to this forum, I know what to do now. Asterisk 1

Becket Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Do exactly what @FrankR said to do. He's being a bully to you, and as we know the only way to stop the bullying is to stand up to the bully. Also, take a deep breath and relax. It's gonna be OK.

Puzzled - why is it odd? It is good that the original poster alerted his bank because the scammer might have information about his bank accounts and could have his bank accounts scammed. By advising the bank to watch out for a possible thief, an alert would be put on the bank accounts. Advising a sheriff to the extortions is producing a record of a criminal act (extortion) that could potentially protect the victim in the event that the scammer denies being involved in attempted extortion. + KensingtonHomo, Asterisk, MikeBiDude and 1 other 2 2

In 2025 don’t we all do our banking through an app? Any amount that would require human assistance or liquidating assets would have to be in the millions, no? And that a deputy is aware of a felony and goes against their requirement to report just seems a little bit of a disconnect.
