Forgive me if this is in the wrong thread.

The latest BS from Only Fans is they are asking for PHOTO I.D. from customers to confirm we are not minors.  WTF!  The fact I have a credit card should suffice.

This is becoming more common unfortunately. In states like Alabama and North Carolina tube sites like pornhub, xhampster etc. Are flat out banned…you get a pop up window that says you’re in a state where it’s not allowed.

I had credit cards at 15.

It's not really an indicator of being 'of age'

Also, a minor could be using a parent's credit card or have their own debit card.

Credit cards companies have approved and sent cards to dogs. That's not a reliable form of ID for that purpose. Other forms of ID have your picture and other details, which can also be borrowed or stolen, but OF can cover their backs legally.

They've become increasingly strict... they put me in timeout not long ago for things I've always said and done there.. now I feel like I'm walking on eggshells... it was fantastic during the pandemic but now it's different story. They scrub a bit too hard too... I know people that were banned just trying to send a tip... they got fraud notices and no matter what they said or did, could not regain access or re-join. I tried to vouch for these people but to no avail 😕

In my opinion that's indeed one of the risks.

Same risk with using Amazon but you don't see laws being passed forcing them to come up with an age verification process.  I can buy all kinds of dildos, butt plugs, and pocket pussies on Amazon without any age verification.  Is that technically pornography?...No but I think we can agree that stuff should be age appropriate.  Not to get political but OnlyFans, Pornhub and the rest are under the microscope from politicians in certain states because of pressure from numerous "moral" groups.  The Jesus police just can't stand porn and they don't want others to enjoy it.  Especially gay porn even though I'm sure they consume more than the rest of us.  This has nothing to do with safeguarding consumers or looking out for children....they simply want to control peoples lives.  Just my unsolicited opinion

Only Fans has a new (to me) age verification that seems to require that I submit a copy of my drivers license. I’m reluctant to do so but there doesn’t seem to be a way around it. Is it safe to provide the copy of the drivers license?

No way. To me that is going too far. As a rule I an careful about sharing personal identifiable information.

Agreed. Many creator are on other, often better, fansites.

I think there was a case of a family that kept finding random packages delivered from Amazon that they didn't order. Turns out one of the kids had figured out how to use Alexa to buy stuff from Amazon without their knowledge on their parent's account. "Alexa, order me a pony!"

I think there’s an even more egregious example than Amazon. It’s Twitter (x). If I post a video on my OF that includes someone using poppers during sex, or if I put a pic on there of me and a guy fucking without tagging the other model or getting the other guy to do the release form process (which requires them to upload ID to Onlyfans third party authentication service) then the content gets deleted. However! Put the same content on twitter and it’s all fine. No problem with poppers, no problem with consent. Yet what’s the difference? Onlyfans content is monetized (I get subscription income) and twitter isn’t. That’s all. Anyone can join twitter, there’s no ID needed, no age verification, no requirement to get release forms for any pictures or videos posted there.

I believeTwitter now X has a feature called "Subscriptions," which allows users to pay a monthly fee to their favorite Twitter creators in exchange for exclusive, paywalled tweets.

Is this all related to "verifying" your email with the new TOS?

I got a notice updating TOS but then to proceed you needed to verify your email and they send a confirmation code but the Code isn't arriving to a good email.

I'm assuming then when you contact Customer Support that's where they ask for ID?
