Tristan Baldwin- (Ad going down, for a bit...)

Just throwing a post out there in advance, before the 'speculative' types would weigh in that something has taken me offline. 

NOT leaving escorting, or anything of the sorts...but took down the RM profile for a few, dealing with an absurd life situation IRL(In real life). 

As many of you know, I had gone back to working with the Army on a part time base, assisting recruiting command at Airshows, commemorative events, etc. Alllllll parachute based, required your own equipment and expertise. Made a name for myself spinning up live action events, especially ones geared towards a very specific group of paratroopers- the Triple Nickles, a solely African American group during WWII that's been all but forgotten. 

While on the road ramping up an event for them- my truck was broken into and virtually all of my equipment stolen- just under 20k in value. Insurance is fucking me around to the n-th degree on it, and this as literally become like a full time job. 

Disgusted with humanity...have kind of just withdrawn a bit...and think I needed some time to juice hard, come back with a clear mind and attitude....and 'take the objective', as they say.

I’m so sorry to hear about this — it sucks, buddy, in so many not-good ways. I hope the situation resolves soon, so you can get your big life back on track! I’ll be thinking of you, and wishing you well, remembering awesome past meet-ups with you, and looking forward to seeing you in the (hopefully) not too distant future.

@tristanbaldwin I just had a thought: what if you created a GoFundMe to recoup the $20,000 loss of equipment and have the forum members contribute to help?

Given how much of a quality guy you are and how much joy and pleasure you have brought to us forum members, I for one would be happy to contribute.

I’d feel like such a bust-out or ingrate doing this…given that it’s a hobby / mental part of my life vs a complete ‘necessity’. 
 

if I was having a medical emergency or one of my dogs, or something far more exigent…I’d consider playing that card…but I wouldn’t feel proper given how much more challenging so many others have it then I…
