In the past few months, I’ve had sessions with several Gen Zs. Although they always show up on time, I invariably get texts like “what day are we meeting” and “what time are we meeting”. In some cases, I’ve confirmed the times twice before. It’s just an observation.

Since I prefer two-hour sessions, our pre-fun conversations have been really interesting. This generation is quite open about their medication regimen and their personal lives. It’s almost as if they don’t have an older person to confide in. I’m a good listener, so they seem disposed to talk. Have others noticed this?

A recent provider had his sub pup drive him to our meeting. He’s a puppy handler and has several pups. He often says “woof”. This was my first exposure to the puppy sub-culture. He suggested that I could have a group of hot pups if I learned to be a “handler”. This hobby never ceases to be informative and sometimes entertaining.

Last weekend, I was hanging out at the Cuff, the leather bar at 13th and Pine, when a man to my left pulled out a pink rubber ball. He held it up in the air, and around...

At least for me just having some conversation prior to the fun helps me feel out the client.  I've had some sessions where after getting comfortable and moving to the "fun" the client attitude changes and I've feared for my life.  As a provider we are already getting quite personal with our clients.

Care to elaborate? I’m curious as I’m sure many civilians and providers have had such experiences for one reason or another.

Typically this happens when a customer wants something that the escort won't provide such as bare services or bondage.  Some clients will become aggressive to try and get what they want.  For instance I told one client that I didn't want to let him top me bare and aggressively he pushed me onto the bed, bound my hands and started doing what he wanted.  Even prior to the session we had discussed safe services.  Thats just one example.

OMG, that’s horrible. I realize calling the police in this situation might put you at risk. As an SA survivor, I’m so sorry this happened to you.

That's what I use the refractory period during my 2 hours sessions for. It's pretty easy - I find some topic they're interested in, and then listen as they talk, only occasionally asking something.

However, I can remember only one provider who spent all his time talking about the subject the OP mentioned. He was very troubled, and often talked with me about the same topics he - by his own admission - spoke to his therapist about, and for which I could offer no safe advice. He wasn't in a good place.

Most providers I meet have strong opinions on something political or some current event. They're eager to talk about it, and I'm eager to listen. It's a nice way to pass the time between 2 orgasms. Plus, like the OP said, opportunities come up - after one regular told me about a non-escort friend who needed money, I was able to hire EDIT both several times.

With the way the talk about "boomers" and with their attitude, of course, no one wants to talk, I mean, text them.

Thanks,  I've learned to accept that as providers we are objectified for the most part and that it's part of the job.  Case in point, looking at profiles while there are descriptions the first thing most people will look for are the photos and choose the "product" that they think looks best.  When it comes to reviews that are out there are many that will focus on the assets.  I've found that just because clients are paying they feel entitled to do what they want as in the example above.

Now THIS is straight up sexual assault. If you didn’t report this predator to the authorities (I completely understand why not you didn’t), at least share this with other known providers in your area, so this guy can be blacklisted.

People are creatures of habit. He probably has a pattern of this predatory behavior.

How could they develop such relationships?

They live on their phones, even when  surrounded by people they might want to meet. And having Grindr open from Friday eve to Monday am is a great weekend for many.

The deepest interactions in the most intimate aspects of life for many kids today are a series of hookups where it’s almost preferred to break off all ties after one or a few initial encounters.

I am very sorry that happened to you/you experienced that.

It says so much about that one specific client; none of it good.

I love the verbal interactions with young guys...learning what interests them, what their take on life is, and after a number of visits, maybe being asked for my take on things. Young people bring energy, new ideas and opinions, current culture, and hot sex; old guys bring life experience, perspective, knowledge, and cash. At its best, works for everybody.

i haven't noticed this. escorts of all ages often would discuss a myriad of shit pre, during or post-session. i don't think it's confined to age.
