FYI, Draping is required by law in almost all states. Your legit masseur would know this and be extremely hesitant to put his license in jeopardy.

I am a lawyer and I find this comment hard to figure. You say that you know draping is required by law in most states. I don't know that. It is often local law that sets issues like that, so a state may not even have such a law.

I am just curious about what facts you have to make such a statement.

(I know, Hyattsville is not a state!) 🙂

EDIT: So I researched the issue and found an article listing the state laws requiring draping. The author could only come up with one- Tennessee. But I wouldn't be surprised if Alabama had restrictions too. Utah too.

Idk about all states but in PA, NJ, and NY it's required by state rules afaik. I know Florida doesn't require it but that's the only one I know of personally.

On a related note, does anyone know of any way to find legit massage therapists like in this chat, who might do more? E.g. guys who works at the chains rather than independent ones on rentmasseur and masseurfinder and such? Recently a couple friends in different areas not super close to me mentioned going to chains and getting massages that led to good endings, but aside from booking and randomly hoping and probably being let down a lot, I have to wonder if there's any way to try and screen for that in advance, like maybe if there's a private group chat or something somewhere for different areas?

I don't think that would be something that any massage therapist working at a chain would want known, no matter how private that group might be.  I think things like that unfold based on chemistry and the individuals involved.  I used to go to a guy at M. Envy.  I did not know whether he was gay or straight.  He just gave a great massage.  But I did notice that with the increasing sessions, the draping would get more loose and I would get semi hard.  Then one day he pressed he erection into my face and provided a HE.  It was hot for sure, but I had no expectation of it.

This is such a fantasy of mine as well.  A while back I had an independent guy who came to my house about once a month for an amazing therapeutic massage.  He got to know my spots so well that he could really turn me into jello in an hour, but it was always 100% above-board.  I'm a leaker when I even get semi-hard and I'm pretty sure I put a wet spot in his drape every time!  He never even mentioned it and I was too chickenshit to push my agenda.  He was so comfortable with me that one time he got oil on his khakis at my place and we were standing side-by-side at the sink in our underwear trying get him cleaned up for his next appointment which was some public event or something.  Such a nice guy, I really miss him.

I see a Registered Massage Therapist who is gay, like myself.  I wear underwear - he is clothed.  Draping with sheets - not even close to anything sensual.  He always leaves the room when I change and I get under the sheet.    I hired a masseur from Rentmasseur when the RMT was out of town and I expected something different.  First off, not registered, so no insurance coverage.   I got a sense when talking to him he was trying to maybe figure me out, what I would want.  I just talked about sore back and shoulders.  I wore underwear.  I think he said I could take it off, and I said I would leave it on - no awkwardness or anything.  He massaged me wearing tight boxer brief underwear.   Second massage with him, I thought' what the hey' and I was naked.  So we was naked.  No extra services.     

He was straight, mentioned his girlfriend, and a really nice guy.  Looking back on it, I think I really appreciate his people skills - he knew what I wanted and didn't want. I remember thinking  'I get it.  I wear underwear, he wears underwear.  I get naked, he gets naked.'

 I was very isolated at the time, not active sexually.  I remember when I paid him and he was standing there naked next to me, I thought this is nice.   Didn't need extras it felt good just be around this good looking guy.

I never wore underwear for a massage. I love being naked too much, and piriformis work is very important to me. Definitely no underwear for that. But many of the straight guys I visited across the country had interesting reactions to my desire to be naked and uncovered (a must in warmer climates). I loved when the masseur would voluntarily get naked with me. Loved when the masseur would say, "Do you mind if I join you?"

I find many straight masseurs are open-minded about being naked. It's when the horny gay guys go grabby where things go south. Open-minded straight masseurs often have their boundaries. If you respect those boundaries, many guys will surprise you.

Agreed.  I worked with a very build and handsome trainer who offered a workout/massage combo. He mentioned one of the other clients was always pushing boundaries with him and it bothered him. I was respectful and took things slow, and got a lot further with him than the other client ever did.

I have been nude for every massage I’ve had in the last 15 years.  Only once did I leave my underwear on and that was at the direction of the masseur at a spa in a resort town.  Makes we wonder if he’d had some of those boundary-pushing clients you mention and he was trying to avoid another one.  (Either that or he found me so irresistible he didn’t think he could control himself with me lying naked on the table)
