Requesting the Escort to Provide Location

So how many escorts out there have been asked by a potential client if they (the escort)  would provide location for the booking?      Now it can make sense if the escort is in a hotel and centrally located in a city.    What I have found a bit odd are local clients who make that request.    I usually just tell them that it is their responsibility to provide the location.    I'd prefer not to have clients  (regulars could be an exception)  in my home and they should take the initiative.   Thoughts?   Maybe it is just my own way of thinking and needs adjustment here.

A lot of the providers I have seen are visiting my area. So I tend to meet them at their hotel and on the very rare occasion an air bnb. Since I’m coming to them I definitely need to know their location. Once we set a time, I need to factor in my travel and potential parking time to meet them on time. Usually they’ll tell me a hotel name or street. Once I park, they then give me the hotel room number or whatever pertinent info I need to meet them in their room.

I have had offers to stay at a guy’s actual residence. Some on the first meeting, but most after I get to know the guy. I have yet to do it though. Mainly because with new hires I just feel more comfortable at a hotel. The regulars who offer, I just haven’t had the chance to visit them in their area to take up the offer.

If the escort hosts, I always ask where they host so I can factor in travel time and whether or not I'm willing to travel to that area.

Escorts provide a service. If they want business, they need to be clear what that service entails.

Obviously, the service does not need to include hosting at all. It's an escorts choice as to what services they are willing to provide.

You should do you and provide the service that you feel comfortable! As as client I do both depending on at the moment how lazy I am vs. how much I want to get out of the apartment; how much I want to save $50 vs. how willing I am to throw money to the wind; how easy/hard I feel it will be for the provider to locate my hard-to-find apartment; how late it is; how much I am feeling I just want to roll over and go to bed immediately afterward vs. how much I feel like getting redressed and slogging home; etc.

Lengthy similar discussion here:

Why would a provider choose to book a hotel at their own expense just for one client meeting?

If a provider is not able to host, they should just say that and if the client really wants to meet then they can book the hotel.

I know my previous post may have come across as a little bit ranting but it's a give and take situation. A provider should clearly state what they are willing and able to provide BUT a client has one choice, work within those service provisions or find another provider. If a provider can not host then it's up to the client to arrange the location whether that's a hotel or their home.

yes, this is all pretty self-evident......meeting location and terms is (and needs to be, of course) easily hammered out during pre-meet communication and planning........if a provider or client can't accommodate the other's limits, then it can't happen........

In Chicago, I always ask them for at least a general idea of where they're staying, so I can schedule to either visit them, or them to visit me. Or to see if we're close enough in the first place.

I'm surprised by the number of escorts who don't answer even that question when I ask.

I do the same thing.  I ask "whereabouts are your hosting".  I've sometimes gotten the actual hotel, or gotten an area, or told hotel info will be provided closer to meeting.

Easier said than done. In my experience: most, except for the few extra kind clients: are not going to book a room for a provider. Why? I don’t know. But like I said elsewhere, if I was actively seeking action, I’d be willing to do BOTH. Host and travel. Both people should be willing to do both. That way if one option doesn’t work for the other, the odds (going back to that gambling thread) are in both favor. Doesn’t mean you have to necessarily be hosting/ready to travel 24/7 or in that moment, but better to be able so you’re not reliant or pressuring the other person to.

That’s why I decided to ask for deposits. My hosting situation varies based on location, but for the most part it’s the same: I have to book accommodations majority of time. Which I don’t mind, booking a hotel gives me the opportunity to create my own ambience and have privacy, in addition to the possibility of hosting another booking or encounter.

Assuming hotel rates are in the $60-$100 range, it shouldn’t pose an issue. My last hotel room was under 75 and it was clean, comfy, and bug free in a central suburban neighborhood. However in some cities, $150+ a night for even basic accommodations make it challenging, in which case I’ll either prefer Outcalls or will do longer sessions only.

In most smaller or medium sized markets: in-calls may be most of what any can get. Many are likely married.  Hard to make much if one doesn’t host, because majority also can’t host.

Though I get your concerns, I think if you’re in a position to host from home, count your blessings and let it work in your favor. Gay men have to let go being dubious about having other (gay or etc.) men in their home. You’re better off in the comfort of your own, than to go to some mystery place that you have no idea about. There’s been times I’ve left the comfort of my host to visit a client, and wasn’t thrilled it because the environment or ambience was subpar. Usually doesn’t happen all the time, as many client’s place are much better than a hotel, but it’s something may come across when doing Outcalls.

Back when I had a full time incall: I pretty much hosted all the time and only did Outcalls to hotels. However, people would sometimes flake or no show…which compelled me to let it go. And now, hosting is different.

Many SoCal providers have an incall location in the ad, which lines up with the map feature, but almost as many will fudge it by a few (up to 30 miles) until after the initial reach out. That can mean adding up to two hours to the block of time there, session, and back. I apologize for wasting their time and move on.

You know your business, J.

But I know driving in the sprawl that is greater Los Angeles. 😎

I think what it is: lot of providers want to be listed under the major city. Problem is, RentMen map feature is very precise, moreso than RentMasseur. The city of Los Angeles probably only covers a small square, before you end up listed under something different, like Huntington Park. Idk why, again one of the mysteries of the 2 sites.

For example; in St. Louis: that is a very small area to pick from. If one moves the ad to just a few miles (like literally, one side of a city park even) to the next neighborhood, it’ll show up under a different city.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with specifying what neighborhood one is in. But seems to fare better listing under the main city.

I think the issue is more when an escort is traveling and still won't give the city where their hotel is located.   We have to drive to the hotel and in my case, that could easily be 1+ hours so need to know approximately where they are located so I can figure out the drive time, what time I could meet them, etc.  I don't expect them to give me the exact location and hotel name at the start of the conversation but the general area shouldn't be an issue.  Unfortunately that often doesn't happen.  For example, many of us have asked Kaden_Soloman ( I think you know him well) for years where he is hosting when he is supposedly in town but after three years of trying not one of us has ever been given a response.  In this particular case, just show outcalls only in your ad and people will stop asking for your home address.

Intersting, as in my experience I have found just the opposite.  RentMen maps seem to be very broad and  mostly show the generic downtown of an area, whereas RentMasseur will show a very specific location if the masseur has given his location.  Otherwise Rent Masseur will default to the generic downtown area.

It depends on whether the site has access to the GPS data on the phone. I have seen an escort listed in North Druid Hill in the metro Atlanta area. The poor guy probably wouldn’t get a lot of inquiries.
