I met him eighteen years ago in NYC, when he was on Rentboy, and I think some of those photos date back almost that far. He was intelligent and well educated, and we had a pleasant conversation, but I did not think the sex was worth the money ($200 then). He seemed more focused on watching porn throughout the appointment than on what we were doing together. He was unable to stay hard, and told me that it was because of medication that he was taking for a prostate infection, but he didn't tell me that until after we finished having sex.

He used to participate on this board, but I haven't noticed any posts from him here for many years. I didn't realize that he was even still active. I would insist on seeing some photos that are clearly current.

I saw Tom in 2019 and was very satisfied with the experience. Since I'm not terribly experienced but eagerly wanted the 'aggressive oral top' experience perfect.  He straddled the line between 'as much as I could take' and 'a little bit more'.

He speaks English. I think German is his second language.

That's always a good sign. I find Germans to be excellent at escorting.

He is a native English-speaker; he is simply indicating that he can speak some German if necessary. As I mentioned above, he is well-educated, with graduate degrees from American universities. We conversed a good deal about his academic interests.

How do you know they’re so old? They were all uploaded since 2020.

He's 45 in "escort years". He's had ads since the advent of the internet and before that used to advertise in the back pages on all the popular gay rags. I had a chat with him back in early HooBoy and Rentboy days. Photos #1 and #8 were uploaded more than two years apart, but they are both the same photo, and it was first used earlier than that. The photo was accurate at the time it was taken, but I would guess it was when he was in his late 20s, when I met him. I don't doubt that he is 45, as stated, but does he still look the way he did in his 20s? BTW, although there are no face photos, he was good-looking, IMHO.

RE: the German identity issue. His chosen escort name--Isern--is an anglicized spelling of the German word for "iron." I don't know whether his family background was German, but I do not remember him mentioning that he spoke German. (It was a long time ago, and he may have mastered the language since then.) In fact, there was more conversation than sex, and he probably told me more information about himself than was wise, which I attributed to the fact that he was relatively new to the escort business at that point. Although I gave him a generally positive review, he contacted me afterward to complain that it wasn't a rave.

Thanks for all the feedback, guys. I did my homework and he has a lot of good reviews on Rent.men that seem solid (the reviewers have profiles and have interviewed many other escorts). None of them mention a discrepancy in his appearance. Even though the pictures are old, I'm guessing he's in the same shape. I'm seeing him tonight so I'll let you know how it goes. 😬

Now I am really curious to hear how it goes. When I saw him, it was before Rentmen existed (my review was on the Hooboy site), and as I said, he was in his 20s and pretty new to the escorting biz. Now he has many more years experience, which I assume has made him more professional at it. I was surprised at how much personal information he revealed (where he went to school, who his academic advisors were, what his real job was and where he worked, etc.), the kinds of things that someone more discreet would reveal to a boyfriend rather than to a stranger with whom he was engaged in an illegal act in his apartment. If I had been interested in doing identity theft, all I would have needed was bank account info.

He's definitely much more professional. He asked to talk on the phone, and has been very circumspect about his identity in texts, but is a little more open on the phone.

Ah... sorry, guys, I did mean to write more. It's been a minute but my overall recollection is that it was a mediocre experience. 

Mostly, it could have been a better match regarding what I like versus what he's providing. I like Doms, who are kind and get off on the role play rather than the actual physical discomfort of the sub. He was the opposite. I also found him to be less active and more into being worshipped ( which, as someone who gets off on being desired, is a snooze fest for me). To be clear, he didn't violate my boundaries; it wasn't what I was looking for. 

I've had much better experiences with Luca D'Amore, Dominus (DC) and - more recently - Joel Someone. With each of them, there was a sense of care and interest in my pleasure. Of course, YMMV.

I met him years ago at a BDSM event. I had the impression that he's about my age..maybe a little younger.  Most likely 49 or 50 by now.
