Finally reactivated my account on here- as we know, I don't logon this as much, as I transition to the half escorting / half real world job situation. Dad's in a full nursing home now...so my travel might be picking up slightly. In addition, Jetblue's partnership with American has been a godsend...have nothing but great things to say about that airline... With that being said, I'll be out on the West Coast 4/16-4/20, with the intention of stopping by the pool party in PS 1PM-?PM on the 16th; but the rest of the schedule is contingent on a few variables. Will keep you all posted but I intend to at least show face out there, let Ace TAKE my ASS(😝) and catch up! The transition to a care facility can be tricky for the resident, but also for those who had been the ones providing care prior to the move. I have one interested attendee that would hire me for an hour or two, but it’s not enough to offset my costs. I’m still considering going. PM me if you’re interested. If I get at least a few lined up, I’ll make travel plans. Keep in mind it’s still a net cost for a provider like myself to attend these events. Even if I fully cover the cost of the trip, meals, etc. I’m still NOT earning potentially thousands that I otherwise would earn staying in my home base city not spending money on hotels and flights, Ubers, etc. With this in mind, I value the business development aspect of meeting many of you, and striking up relationships. That’s valuable to me, so I’m willing to eat the opportunity cost. I hope to offset at least the trip cost, even though I likely will incur a net loss by attending. I'll be offering my usual morning hikes Thursday the 13th thru Sunday the 16th, weather permitting (ha!).....my base this year in Inndulge and I can drive/pick up/carpool/meet at TH......8:30-ish start/depart times and we'll keep the hike times to 2.5-3-ish hours .....might be a few miles of driving to get to a TH......possible admission ($12-15 pp) if we go into the popular Indian Canyons/Tahquitz Canyon areas......will keep it lightly moderate with 3-6 mile distance and moderate elevation gain.....be ready for full-on sun exposure at times, moderate steady pace, steady inclines at times, minor rocks to scramble over at worst, but hikes will be on maintained dirt trails.......Joshua Tree is fantastic, but too far away to drive to....... if interested, PM me here on the forum and we'll go to texting after that......
