Mint Boys

I was looking at providers on Mint Boys and it all struck me as a scam. I've never seen these guys before in my local area and believe me, I keep up with who's available. Anyone else experience something like this?

The bulk of the profiles on Mintboys are fake, although a handful are real. I do not get the point of the site’s existence. 🤷🏻‍♂️

yes and no; I once hired a guy who was on Mintboys; he took his ad down a week or two after we met, but I continue to see him regularly and we have taken weekend trips together; and that was almost two years ago!

I’ve had quite a bit of success with Mintboys. I always ask if they are actually in my city and if their pics are recent. A video call can usually settle any doubt I have before we meet. But I have noticed that many of the men are part timers and cant host. You have to be willing to host in those cases.

I've only contacted 2 guys on mintboys. One never responded back. The other was porn actor Tony Romero. He advertised on MB before he started on Rentmen. In any case, he was real and I had a good time with him.

I do not know what is going on in MB today. However I can give testimony that in its beginning the owner had the intention to run an honest business. We partnered during a few months (we parted ways because he found that the traffic I was bringing was not meeting his expectations), he even gave me a great recommendation and connected me with the guy who redesigned my blog, I only have good things to tell.

But again, I do not know whether or not he is still there.

Most of the ads in New York City are years old. Very few are recent. I would not trust anything I see on that site, but you might get lucky & find someone that is worthwhile for less money than Rentascam.

I've reached out to guys on MB - the response rate has been very low.  At this point I don't even bother unless the ad is fairly recent.  Have never met up with anybody from there.

Ditto to many others.

The MB ads are usually pretty old. Since it's free, you get a lot of fakes.

MB lacks the data an RM ad contains about what providers are willing to do. Likewise, there's no way for a provider to list themselves as "available." Since the ads are so old, it's a crap shoot if they even still exist.

I've hired guys who were on MB, but only because they were already on RM or Friendboys.

I agree with the comments so far.  There are more fakes (and especially no-response types) on Mintboys and in general the quality of build/experience is lower than you might find on RM, but then again because of its lower profile, there are some guys who advertise there for discretionary purposes that are real finds.  

There's one guy I've hired multiple times that is top notch and with a great body, although restricted in what he does.  Unfortunately, he lives in North Carolina and isn't up for travel due to his 9-5.  I think the key to sifting through the garbage is the quality of communication with the provider, which you still have to do with RM, to be fair.....

I've never met anyone off mintboys yet either. A lot of one pic guys, or straight guys advertising for women only, or non local phone numbers. Seems every ad falls into one of the red flag areas.

I recently met a great guy on mintboys and we've seen each other a few times and it keeps getting better. But it was a new ad ... lots of guys don't reply. No worse than rentmen really - a lot of guys on rentmen have fake pics, especially fake dick pics ... I do have a facetime call with anyone new I meet with, that weeds out a lot of providers.

I just noticed they've done some sort of purging of ads on there. The number of ads in Buffalo has been cut in half from the last time I looked a week or two ago and the same for Rochester.

I noticed that most of the ads in Manhattan are  from 2023 instead of 2 or 3 years ago. I hope this is a good sign & the guys are actually real & available.

Yeah it looks like any ad that was last updated pre 2022 is gone.

They've definitely cleaned up the Toronto ads.  Most of the guys on there now are also on RM.

I guess they haven't gotten to Phoenix yet (shades of Glen Campbell??!!!).....

clogged with listings going back three years......and I forgot many are looking for females only (not that there's anything wrong with that)

I will have to check Philadelphia and Long Island. The last time I looked it's funny I was saying that they need to do something with these old ads. FYI. I have had luck with guys saying I'm only available for Women. They learn that Women don't pay well or not at all. Some of the guys are in need of fast cash.  I have had a number of the STR boys come in to do video work from Mintboys.
