The playoffs were good, but the World Series is a bore. What happened to those snakes?

One advantage of the Series ending is that we will find out if the Dodgers signed Shohei Ohtani to a 500 million dollar contract. If not them, who?

They were pretty much a .500 team during the regular season and I think they are the only team to ever make the world series with a negative run differential. They probably would have gone down in history as one of the worst teams to win the world series honestly.

The horrible thing though is they have like $80 million wrapped up next year in deGrom & Scherzer and they didn't even need them this year. Imagine if they had that money to spend on resigning Montgomery & another starter. They could get Hader for bullpen help too.

The Mets are picking up a chunk of Scherzer's salary, I believe.

The Padres have announced that owner and chairman Peter Seidler has passed away at the age of 63.

“The Padres organization mourns the passing of our beloved Chairman and owner, Peter Seidler,” said Padres CEO Erik Greupner. “Today, our love and prayers encircle Peter’s family as they grieve the loss of an extraordinary husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Peter was a kind and generous man who was devoted to his wife, children, and extended family. He also consistently exhibited heartfelt compassion for others, especially those less fortunate. His impact on the city of San Diego and the baseball world will be felt for generations. His generous spirit is now firmly embedded in the fabric of the Padres. Although he was our Chairman and owner, Peter was at his core a Padres fan. He will be dearly missed.”

The club also announced that they will open the Home Plate Gate at Petco Park beginning this afternoon for those who wish to gather to pay their respects. Free parking will be available at Tailgate Lot. Seidler has been battling an illness for months but his family has requested that the cause of death remain private at this time.

Aaron Nola is expected to sign with the Cardinals

CAN'T ANYONE ON THIS SITE MAKE AN ACCURATE PREDICTION ABOUT THE CARDINALS?!?!?

Phillies Agree To Seven-Year Deal With Aaron Nola

The Phillies are reportedly in agreement with right-hander Aaron Nola on a seven-year deal, per USA Today’s Bob Nightengale. ESPN’s Jeff Passan reports that the agreement’s guarantee sits at $172MM. Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports that the deal features no team options or opt-outs. Per Nightengale, Nola is set to undergo a physical today before the deal becomes official. Reporting earlier this morning suggested talks between the sides were picking up steam.

This could be the catalyst for success. They reached the Series for the first time in club history the year that owner Ray Kroc died. That was IMO the most awesome team they comprised, with the aging veterans jelling with the young guys, including Tony Gwynn. Good memories!

So...  Bob Gibson's son, Kyle;  Fred Lynn's brother, Lance; and Spalding Gray's identical twin, Sonny.

Have you pre-ordered your World Series tickets already?

Respectfully I am not interested in these fake people.

May I remember you that the Cardinals are offen in World Series matches
