Pete Davidson wears nail polish. Not that it matters, but it would probably be a deal breaker for me. I would have to see what the guy looks like before I could say for sure what I would do .

I find threads like this to be very childish.  I often remind myself of all the things providers have to endure, i.e, clients of all shapes and sizes who expect providers to sexually perform at a moment’s notice, bad client personal hygiene issues, smoker’s breath, clients being pissed off because they only got 57.3 minutes instead of a full hour, clients complaining his dick is only 7.5 in when he advertised 8 in.The list goes on and on.  And yet there are those of us here concerned about nail polish.

And spare me the comments that you’re paying good money to get what you want.  I don’t want to hear them.

I wear nail polish at times. Having well-manicured nails is wonderful and should be encouraged.

And if the polish puts you off, maybe examine your internalized misogyny and femme-phobia.

Nothing irks me more than gay men policing other people's gender expression. If you're a man who fucks men, you've already crossed the Rubicon, so why not enjoy the perks.

If the manly provider I hired showed up in drag, that would change the mood.  Male polish, however, is a fashion trend and unsurprising on a gay male escort who probably spends time in major cities. Does he also thread his eyebrows?

I will say that the current trend is sad to me.  Bowie, Prince, and Cobain wore nail polish and were legit artists reinventing culture.  Today we have the likes of Harry Styles who is a glorified hair model seeking attention and trying to sell more online merch.

Forget about the nail polish. What if a gay transman who lists on RM as a man shows up at your door.  Do you discriminate?

Ask yourself why you're asking this question. I sincerely doubt that any trans men on RM are trying to trick cis guys into hiring them. That would be potentially quite dangerous as cis people use transphobia to explain away their violence against trans people.

This reads as a fear-mongering hypothetical to me, which is in particularly poor taste as trans people are facing unprecedented violence and political attacks across the country.

Do I like the look of nail polish on men?  Not particularly.  Would it be a deal breaker for me?  Absolutely not.

I'm definitely less turned off by nail polish than I am when I see men wearing undergarments designed for women.  It isn't misogyny.  It isn't that I don't think men should be allowed to express their gender identity however they want or, for that matter, simply wear whatever clothes they want.  It just doesn't fit in with my sexual fantasies, though. I'm definitely more into a jock or hot-guy-next-door image, so a guy presenting as more femme just doesn't turn me on.

Don’t lecture me about situations people I know have experienced.

If the guy I hire has a body to die for and a great personality I could care less whether or not he is wearing fingernail polish. If an escorts asks me what I would him to wear I ALWAYS respond what ever makes him feel like the sexiest guy in the world. If that means he shows up in pink lace underwear SO BE IT.  When we get down to brass tacks I'm not going to be looking at his fingernails and the pink underwear will be long gone.

It's true that if the underwear comes off, it really makes little difference what the guy was wearing when he arrived.  I was thinking more of some porn scenes I've seen, where guys keep on stockings and garter belts during the entire scene.  I know some will respond sexually to that, but not me.
