I just want everyone to beware that someone is trying to bribe me into them not sharing images of me on the site!   I knew this could happen, and should never had trusted.   It's just I wanted to have a safe place to interact and take care of myself to be complete.  They texted me a list of family and friends that they will release pictures to if I don't pay them something.  I've deleted my account, blocked the number, but this is such an invasion of privacy.  Adam4adam should really try for this not to happen.  I highly advise to consider your posting! about this.

I'm a little perplexed.  Do you mean someone saved your Adam4adam profile photos and is now threatening to send them to people you know unless you pay them?

If you're just talking about some naked photos, I'd suggest that most people wouldn't be very shocked today to learn that someone they know had taken naked selfies to share with potential sex partners.  Would your family and friends really be that shocked even if they did receive a naked photo of you from someone else?  Surely anything else they wrote would rightfully be interpreted as someone trying to disparage you, with no reason to believe them, so I'd say this perceived threat is really only as bad as you make it.

I'll share a story here: some nasty people thought they could "take down" a colleague they didn't like by printing out naked photos the guy had on a dating website and passing them around the workplace, trying to elicit outrage that a person in this guy's position would dare post naked photos online.  The result was that a couple of people were put on unpaid leaves for a couple of weeks and the ringleader of this failed "take down" attempt was forced into an early retirement.  The guy they were targeting suffered no consequences other than that some co-workers saw his naked photos who would never have seen them otherwise.  In the end, I don't think anyone cared that this guy had naked photos online on an adults-only dating website.  When one of the sleazeballs tried to show the photos to me, I told him that I didn't want to see them and that I was appalled at his behavior as a gay man not respecting the privacy of a gay colleague.

If you feel like this is a serious threat, get legal advice.

https://money.usnews.com/money/personal-finance/articles/find-legal-help-when-you-cant-afford-a-lawyer

Just ensure they are willing to extend Attorney-Client Privilege to your conversations, then you can tell them anything!

Get advice on how to handle.

It is really important to consider the types of pictures you post and where.  I have an A4A profile.  I only unlock pictures with my face upon request.  And the pictures that show my face do not show anything below the waistline.  The "below the waistline" pics do not show my face or any distinguishing attributes (like tattoos) and shows me in a different setup.  So you can't put them together and try to blackmail me into anything.  It is sad that some folks will go this far, but that is the internet for you.  😐

This reminds me a bit of that Weiner guy who posted naked pics of himself.  Got him in a whole lot of trouble but he was a politician.

Could be also true if you were a member of the clergy. But for everyday schmucks like us, I don't know unless you are not out to your friends and family.

Extortion is illegal (at least in the US). If you're in the US, refer this to the police, or to the FBI if the phone number's in another state (or country). And be careful of what you post online (or even what you text). I'm not afraid of anyone seeing my naked pictures, but even in my situation, I haven't posted any naked photos of myself online, nor have a texted any naked photos of myself.

Blackmail does not necessarily end with the first payment.  You do need to contact the authorities.  You might want to warn the people on the list that someone is blackmailing you about some pictures and they might not want to open suspect emails as it might be TMI for them.  They might not want to try to unsee something.  Not everyone want to see you naked.  The worst that might happen is that you will have to endure comments from them: How could you be so stupid to do that!

Weiner texted his dick shots to women who didn’t want them. If he had just posted them on a dating site that allowed nudes, no one would have said boo.

It happened to me too a couple of years ago, I am not 100% sure if it was from A4A (I think so) or another cruising app, but anyway from there (HOT pics!) we exchanged Nrs and started to chat on Whatsapp. At that time (I know, STUPID and naive of me!) I had my phone Nr connected to my FB page, so a few hours later this scammer sent me names and pics of family whom he would send our conversations screenshot to if I was not going to send him $1,000 within 2 hours...

After a moment of disbelief I replied that I didn't give a f*ck if he would send naked pics of me to my husband (who knows), sister, cousins and friends and that I would have notified the Police.

He disappeared and (as far as I know haha) nothing happened...

So, @roy7269, if I may advice you, don't be scared!

I exchanged messages with a guy on A4A a couple of years ago.  We were going to meet but then I didn't like his conditions (I always meet someone in a public place, not just have them enter my place sight unseen, and this guy refused; for clarification I am talking about a hookup, not an escort).  I had already reversed image searched his main photo and discovered he was a priest.  He also had naked photos in his profile.  I found it very odd that a priest would be so cavalier as to use the same photo on A4A that's on his church's website.

Thanks for the feedback! This site has been the perfect place for me, so taking down my profile slowed things down. I got another text, from another number, that said I owned them money. I let them know I don't have money, on the verge of bk because of covid, AND just found out I jave stage 4 prostate cancer.....so nithing to fn lose. Thing is, the factvthat any profile can be faked to gain access to other profiles.  Crazy stuff. Because the site is essentially  free, more of that might happen. Really appreciate your input!

Was he a Roman Catholic priest, who are pledged to celibacy?  Or in a religion where they can marry?

I am so sorry bout the diagnosis. Please don’t let this get you down as hard as it is. Wannabe blackmailers often go on to the next victim of you ignore them.

Roman Catholic.  I wasn't surprised by that, though, given the Catholic men I had met who had been sexually abused by their priests as well as the numerous gay men in the seminary who were out cruising the bars.

Being in the priesthood is great cover for a man who's not interested in sex with women, and wants to keep that fact a secret. No one will ask you if you're married or why you're not married. I've often wondered if that rule wasn't set up for just that reason.
