Sorry to hear this. Got to know him when he moved from Boston to NYC. He used to join a group of us at the 20 Club. A very intelligent man who made some very thought provoking posts.

This really upset me! Not only this community but the world at large has lost one of the GREAT MINDS. Search out his past posts and especially the thread in the Arts Form entitled The Organ.

The subjects that he discussed are amazing! Mr. Smith knew everything about Dante, Beethoven, and even Mel Brooks plus not to mention everything before, in between, during, and after! Still, perhaps his greatest contribution was his ability to help determine the course of what the future had in store for us! Yes, he was always on the cutting edge of all things!

 

I am tempted to post something from Gilligan’s Island in tribute, but in retrospect his beloved King of Instruments playing something worthy of a King is the only way to go! May he Rest In Peace!
