Tried to search if there was already a thread on this, and if there is apologies, and would like to see those threads please.

So I have heard from providers at different times this year about a site or forum where providers can search or filter for client phone numbers and providers could write and include commentary about said client. Is this a real thing? If it is, how useful is it to vet clients?

That would be nice and more authentic.

So many guys in this forum praise themselves!

There are some sites where escorts can warn each other about no shows, scammers, time wasters and other kinds of low-lives. Unfortunately burning numbers have empowered that kind of behavior because they now it can be done it without fearing reprisals.

Someone seems to dislike my response. So ok, I wouldn’t mind reviews of my performance if I got to edit them first for my approval. Lol

The fallen Men4Rentnow.com had previously had a section where escorts could rate clients and search numbers/emails. A few times there were some beneficial warnings, other times it helped to ensure the client was legit when a good one was made. Some clients even asked ME to review THEM lol. They wanted good reviews.

Sadly, M4RN fell to the pandemic of SESTA/FOSTA...but I have wrote to Rentmen and company about doing the same. They’re kinda dragging their feet on the idea, but I don’t see any harm in doing so. In fact, I think well to do clients could benefit from escorts giving them good feedback, and dissuade the messers from having an endless bounty of providers to waste time. As is the case for Rentmen messenger, which is why I won’t engage in chat, and have it always set on auto reply.

This would definitely encourage me to cut back on this hobby as I value my anonymity. I expect many are like me and this would hurt your business more than you might expect.

Following that thought, why do you think there are plenty of review sites where service providers are reviewed in the general business world ( i.e. lawyers, doctors, restaurants, lawn services, plumbers etc.) but not of businesses publishing reviews of their customers.

In the commercial sector, there would also be some legal challenges with reviewing customers. I know some businesses have even threatened lawsuits based on bad reviews they felt were inaccurate. It's just not a good model from a marketing perspective.

I help to set-up sites and networks where businesses do keep scorecards for customers. For example, I recently set up a web-based platform for organized retail crime information and intelligence-sharing between retail investigators and law enforcement. There are companies that compile information on people who make frequent returns to retailers. Companies that "grade" your worth as a customer based on the demographic info that's available for sale from companies you have given permission to use it (like facebook, when you agree to the TOS.) So don't think for a second you aren't already being reviewed as a customer when you scan your CVS or Safeway card. It's only a matter of time until there's a more organized and interconnected system for providers of bodywork and other services.

Anonymity is fine...but as I posted in another thread: do you think something like this, deserves anonymity (if the incident was sex work related, which it does not suggest)

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fox2detroit.com/news/suspect-in-murder-cannibalism-of-michigan-man-he-met-on-grindr-ruled-competent-for-trial.amp

Anonymity is earned, not given. It would be selfish to not warn others of potential danger. I mean, wasn’t there a big discussion about getting flu shots, and “protecting others?” Well...I went ahead and got my flu shot this year, to protect others.

likewise, I will post a bad client’s information...publicly, to protect others as well. It’s recommended by the CDC ?

However, I’ve been having to do less of that lately. I don’t make money posting warnings/reviews of clients. That’s not what I’m in business for. And the best way is to prevent it from happening in the first place. So, I really just try to stick with my rules (deposit, advanced notice, etc) and that tends to avoid a lot of the headaches to begin with. It’s when I let it slide, that I run into problems.

“Anonymity is earned, not given”

Really, @Jarrod_Uncut?

Tell us, are your people of the Tallahassee Uncuts or the Rochester Uncuts?

?

It depends how you define anonymous. Technically, regardless of whether one winds up on a blacklist site or not... there's no anonymity. I mean, we exchange number, hopefully a name, and location, which may be a client's home. It's not cruising a park or scouting truck stop bathrooms. That's true anonymous sex. Where you don't even know their name, age, or anything about them.

I would say: most anonymity is earned by default. At the end of the day, we're just gay men trying to live our lives judgement free from the general public. But when those same people abuse the privilege, that's where it's compromised. And it's not like I'm tooting horns out to the general public (because let's face it, when homosexuality, prostitution or other sexual freedoms are criminalized, the laws and media have a knack for exposing it to the general public). I'm more just for having a site where escorts can privately review and exchange info with others. Outside of the public eye.

I would never knowingly hire anyone that felt it was OK to share their client's info on the internet. No, anonymity is not earned, it is expected and frankly demanded in my case.

As a frequent client of escorts, I don’t enter into these transactions expecting complete anonymity because as Jarrod said, that is like cruising parks or truck stations. No, I expect “discretion”, which is the foundation of any interpersonal relationship.

That being said, I would not want my personal identification posted on a client review site. I am a client on RM and people can see my profile there if they wish. It doesn’t give my rel name or phone number however. Just the fact that I am a client and have had appointments with certain escorts that advertise on RM.

yeah, I really wouldn’t care if RM had a client review section, but escorts should not be share identifying info. If that became a norm, it would hurt the whole industry.

Same difference though. If you’re okay with RM having a review section, you should be okay if escorts exchange phone numbers, or atleast in a (000) 000-00XX format. And yes, it is the norm in some areas. There’s a site that I browse regularly that’s run by women across seas, and there’s postings updated regularly to assist/warn other sex workers. Others may chime in and say, “oh yeah, he did the same thing to me also”. America is just behind, and the lack of decriminalization of it, Is what continues to leave things in a hypocritical state of being.
