My Appointment vs Your Plans?

This year, more than ever, escorts have given me some grief or guilt about booking appointments that interfere with their personal plans. For example, I have an appointment scheduled tonight, and the guy commented "I was supposed to go with my friends to Rehoboth this weekend" but we are meeting any way.

Is this just me or is it happening to other guys?

There’s another side to the story too. Today I had a client book a 2 hour session. He booked it 3 days ago and I had confirmed with him yesterday. I don’t see clients at my home, I use a studio which is about 45 minutes away. So I travelled to the studio and prepared only to have him message me 5 minutes before the start...in response to my text telling him to knock when he’s arrived...telling me he had hurt himself and wasn’t coming and oh he hadn’t had time to let me know. I should have learned because he’d booked a session a week ago and had again cancelled an hour before the start time with an excuse. I get it that stuff happens so I always give the benefit of the doubt once. But not twice. I’m sure that he changed his mind and just didn’t bother to think to let me know. To him I’m just some guy who is disposable. I kick myself because the signs were there....too many questions, an off hand attitude to the arrangements, telling me he’s straight and wants to explore. I guess he enjoyed the thought of it and got scared at going ahead. I get it but just have the decency to tell me beforehand. I turned down other clients because I was busy. Well his number is now shared with other guys (yes we have those networks) so he won’t be able to book anywhere without paying 100% up front.

I have not reached out to a provider since March due to Covid (although I have texted with and supported my regulars). Flaking has not happened to me in the past year - thank goodness! I do screen my providers quite well before meeting and tend to stick to regulars. Whenever I reach out, my first question is “are you in town and available”. If I get a sense of hesitation I dont persue a meet. It has served me well.

Life is about choices, I'm sure his friends don't make 250/300 tax free per day, right? It was his choice seeing you, if he really wanted to go with his friends he would have told you to reschedule.

In the age of digital payments, why don’t providers ask for a fee for booking or discount for pre-payment? I’m not an escort, but as a personal trainer, I require payment in advance of a session and have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy.

If we were dealing with a conventional product (or even a personal trainer such as you) versus an escort product that is illegal for both parties, I would somewhat agree with your prepayment requirement.

However, due to potential problems associated with the escort business, can you tell me how a client can maintain privacy if making a prepayment to an escort and also be assured that the prepayment would be honored by the person requesting the money?

While many meetings with escorts go well, many do not. Also, when dealing with rentmen advertisements, a huge portion of those ads are bogus. Sending advance money requests to those who advertise escort services is near equivalent to throwing money out the window.

Most forum members agree on it being a bad idea to make prepayments to escorts unless the escort is a known product.

Jamie.....sincerely sorry to hear that you were “victimized“ (?) here....but also good that you realize / admit the situation - “fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me”....

but also your words saying that the guy won’t be able to book anywhere is a bit broad, extreme, immature & braggadocio about your network....unless of course - maybe buy an ad in USA Today & get national exposure :D

WOW! Talking about "attitude" ... these guys should be grateful for having clients especially at times like these. Bottom line it is very disrespectful and unprofessional. Let me guess, this particular provider wasn't a well-reviewed one here on this site...

It seems the need for personal anonymity for both client and provider (not including the guy whose parents actually named him Hot9inRocket..) can naturally breed mistrust. Emergency issues come up, but blowing off either way is not right. For providers: what can a first time client say that makes you comfortable enough to put the appointment in the calendar on the phone (just like going to a new barber) and then arrange subsequent offers around your need to keep that appointment?

You are already kicking yourself for accepting a booking from this guy after his earlier cancellation, so I won't ask about that. I am curious, though, why you use a studio that is 45 minutes from your home?

Good afternoon. What will you tell the person if they ask for a deposit up front? I have this question do people used older gay escorts ads of people not working anymore to get money.

It’s been documented on here (on all the threats about it) that over 90% of the guys will say “hell no!”to pay a booking fee...

Ok. How can you tell if the ad is fake?

Continue to participate in this forum for a while. Over time you will learn, little by little, to spot many, but not all, fake ads.

Eventually, you will learn to do photo reverse image searching.

Image search is one simple way of catching photo thieves (stolen photos used in a bogus escort ad).

Will phone numbers give it away too

A few years ago, before the broad-sweeping laws passed that encompassed escort and related sites, often it was easy to learn about escorts based on the phone number appearing in their ad. All it took was a simple Google search.

Now, all is changed. You might try doing a Google search on a phone number but don't expect much information, if anything at all.

Times have changed.

Ok. If an escort has not had a review since three years ago will you say the ad is fake

No.

There are many reasons an escort might not have reviews.

Just because there are no reviews does not mean a three-year-old ad is fake.

I personally know some very good escorts who do not care if they have reviews posted to their ad.

Some escorts are very good but prefer not to have reviews.

Although it is generally better for generating more business if the escort has reviews, the lack of reviews is not a deal-breaker by any means.

There was an old thread about escorts asking NOT to be reviewed on here in order to keep themselves under the radar and as discreet as possible. With RM easy access to reviews that has changed and escorts not only are more likely to ask for a review but if they get a bad rating they try to get it removed by RM mgt.
