Adult Theatres With Active Scenes

I have been to Showworld a couple times in Long Island NY. It's probably my current favorite theater. $10 admission. 1 smaller rooms that has lots of sofas in different configurations looking at half a dozen screens and a small set of GH booths along 1 wall. The other rooms is larger with a big open center, a set of booths along 1 wall and a dark back room. There are enough places to watch, be watched, or be a little out of the way from view depending on your comfort level. They have (to me) a huge bonus of bathrooms right in the larger room area so you can clean up or piss without having to go out into the book store area.

Sadly adult video stores/porn theaters are becoming extinct. I find it to be really arousing and erotic to cruise a video store or hang out in a booth watching porn with the chance that someone will come in and take care of things. Video booths were banned in my county since the early 90's so I never experienced one until a few years ago in another city. The other challenge is that most were in mom and pop adult stores and those are being bought by one of the big adult chains like Lion's Den and Adultmart.

 

I've only been to one adult theater but it closed a couple of years ago and it was a bad experience, very dirty, older unattractive and overly aggressive patrons. When I'm traveling I usually check out cruisingforsex.com which has listings that include video stores and theaters.

Squirt.org is also a good, updated listing for cruisy locations and adult theatres.

So what adult theatres, with or without peep booths or GH’s? I am always looking for recommendations here in the Western States as I have been known to travel to a place with a good adult theatre with action. San Diego, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland and Denver all come to mind. Any favs in those cities? Where else?

As for a list it depends on what part of the country you're in. I've only done sites in the midwest but have friends who have visited other locations in the south. As for age and race the place I prefer is very mixed with a wide variety of ages and race and very accommodating.

 

That being said my favorite is Roseland Resort in West Virginia. It's by far the most upscale in the region with a great variety of lodging choices. Tent sites, cabins, rooms with private baths. It has two bars one at the recently upgraded pool area and the main bar up in the town hall. A steam room, sauna, work out room, laundry, on site masseuse that people rave about. It draws a wide range of people from Columbus, Pittsburgh, and DC. The staff is mostly made up of local straight boys from the surrounding area but they are very nice and work hard to make sure you have a good experience. The owners are gay but they're unfortunately right wing Trump people which has lost them a lot of business int he past few years. I'm friends with them regardless and they do put a lot of money in keeping the place up and adding improvements. They also give a lot back to the community so I try and accept them for that. They are clothing optional everywhere except the restaurant, yes they have a buffet restaurant. The play area is either on the trail, which they have several amazing trails or the barn. The steam room also gets pretty busy. They have decent fireworks on the major holidays that can be a lot of fun.

 

Other good places to go are Sawmill in Florida which I haven't been to but want to check out. I hear it's got a pretty good crowd as well. I'd also recommend Freedom Valley which is in northwest Ohio just south of Sandusky. Nice property but not as remote as Roseland which is basically 30 minus up a hill from town. This can be a good thing as it's very close to Cedar Point which is an amazing amusement park with some of the best rollercoasters in the world. So you can stay at camp and make a day at the park. Freedom Valley's play area is in the woods and they have several glory holes and a BDSM play space. But the tent valley is the hot spot. They also have a great dance hall. They don't have a liquor license so you have to bring everything in unlike Roseland.

I wonder if the Show World there is related to the famous Show World on 8th Ave. near Port Authority back in the day. Fond and dirty memories of that place! When I made my yearly trek to NY, I couldn't get there fast enough!

Definitely over 50 here! I miss Knob Theater in San Francisco, but pre-COVID still frequented Steamworks in both Chicago and Berkeley. There are a couple of bookstores I still frequent when I'm in those locations (pre-COVID, since I think most have closed their backrooms/theaters), but I do miss the days when I was in my 20's in San Diego and it seemed that if you had 15 minutes free there were several adult bookstores where someone would take care of you. Memories....

In Queens, The FAIR theatre is decades old established for sleazy male/male play, but has been closed, to my knowledge for months.....

 

As well, a landmark bathouse Northern Mens Sauna, in Queens is also Closed. Also Rainbow house club....

 

So, not much outlets to "get off" !

When you find yourself digging a hole deeper; It's a good idea to stop while you can still get out. I know at least one guy in his 50s who would wear you out easily. Being with a mature gentlemen can teach you things that you'd never get with the 20s or 30s crowd.
