To the original question : Yes, there are many escorts who do discriminate against clients and their race/ethnic/continent origin.

I had set up an appointment with a Las Vegas escort and based on past experiences, had clearly mentioned my ethnic and my Asian origin in texts. On the day of appointment, about 20 min before the appointment time, after he gave me his address etc., when I mentioned that he should look for an Asian guy with the specific ethnic origin, he says "I do not see Asians". The funny thing was he too is of Asian origin!!

I think that’s a fair assumption. Most masseurs like white guys over people of color

I don't think you know "most masseurs" to make that kind of generalization/insult; and as half Black/half White masseur, I can tell you that it certainly doesn't apply to me. I prefer clients who treat me with respect and generosity. Truly! I may gravitate towards certain types in my personal life but I certainly don't discrimante and when it comes to my clients, the amount of melanin, or lack of it in your skin makes no difference to me.

Just to through out there too that some want to only see older white clients because they ignorantly think that's the secret to making money.

Which is so ignorant because let me just say this....the guy who gave me the most money to this very day, is a tall, black man who was an executive for a football team who flew me to Arizona for a week. I have never made as much money in a week as I did with him...and I'm just going to leave that there.

This week a client who happens to be White asked me if I would take him (Im a massuer) even though he is a white client...and he was serious.....(most of my clients happen to be white so of course I took him). Then a Black client yesterday also asked me the same thing...So here I have white guy and a Black asking me if I'll discriminate against them.....Is this really a thing? Why would I? Do clients think I care how much or how little melanin is in their skin? Am I in the twilight zone? Was this just a coincidence? Is this happening to others? What in the hell is going on out there?

Yes this is very real. Just look at some Grindr profiles. I'm Black and when I find an escort that doesn't have any racial hang ups I'm so surprised. On several occasions I'v been turned down or ghosted when they find out I'm Black. I'm a successful put together clean cut guy and I've still had a door closed in my face by a provider. When they ask my race in a text I just think to myself oh no here we go again. Sometimes they're ok with it and other times they're not. I'm pretty fair skinned and one time I just sent my picture to a provider....we met had a good time and after it was over the conversation about my race came up. The whole time he thought I was Hispanic or "mixed". He kinda looked disappointed like I had tricked him into fucking a Black guy. I just flat out ask if they have an issue before I even try to make plans and waste my time. If you don't want my Black dick then you won't get my green dollars.

I hope you understand that you are the exception. A refreshing exception, but an exception.

Big bearish guy. Client. I created a profile on RM to precisely spell out my interests, kinks, and looks. If I was going to meet up with someone, I didn't want them to do it "just for the money" or to reject me once they came to the door. I think it's helped. It makes sure that everything is on the up and up, on both sides.

This thread’s headline/title has been bothering me. Is there discrimination against clients?

What about discrimination towards clients?

What about, “Is their discrimination?”

I think the answer is and should be, hell, yeah. I have my preferences and what pleases me and I don’t want someone who is not a match to agree to a session.

George H. W. Bush discriminated against broccoli! Aghast! He discriminated!

I have been called out in certain situations myself, where I have said I wanted to be more discerning of the Black clients I’m willing to meet (in case I need to clarify, I happen to be Black (and mixed, but hypothetically going by the 1% rule here lol) as well). Some people have gotten offensive when I said that.

But people have misunderstood. They take something in tact as offense. It’s not that I discriminate, but more of the fact that I understand a lot of my own race isn’t respectful with what we do, therefore I have to do what I need to do. When you have someone of your own race chargeback $250 on PayPal, or threatens to physically harm you (true story, but wasn’t a client)...you start becoming a little smarter about who you see. That doesn’t mean I’m following them around in the store, making sure I lock the door so they don’t run out, or make them feel uncomfortable. But more of just weeding people out before even meeting them.

At the same time, I’m finding more and more black clients are becoming my fans. And I’m enjoying them more as well. But I still have some who come at me inconsiderate.

On the flip side: Despite White clients being the majority of my client base, they also make up the ones who waste the most of my time. It may not be down to because they’re White, but down to who’s looking at the sites the most. But if we put that aside, I would say a lot of White guys play bullshit games the most, which now has me screening them out moreso than the Black clients.

Just to through out there too that some want to only see older white clients because they ignorantly think that's the secret to making money.

In most cities in America, older White clients are generally going to makeup the majority of clients. That’s fact. BUT, the issue is a lot of these older white clients are acting like 16 year old boys nowadays. The immaturity level out here is insane. Over the past week, I’ve had to deal with several instances of older white clients contacting for appointments, as if they’re prank calling Chinese takeout ? restaurants. It’s just insane.

I blame Trump for all this nonsense. Older white guys think it’s cute to show their ass. Just today I had to post a Yelp review of a client who sent me some horrible text messages. One included “fuck you loser”. And this is a 50 something year old White guy who’s supposed to be running his own company (he also has another bad yelp review from an employee, which goes to show it’s not just me...and it’s this whole “I’m paying you, and I’m president/ceo, so I’ll treat you like dirt mentality) Just insanity. I don’t necessarily follow the hate train on Trump or any other politician, but I can’t wait to see him out because he’s made it okay for older white guys to just be completely out of line disrespectful (mainly when it comes to doing business). At the same time, most of my White clients don’t like Trump, so I’m not saying ALL are becoming that way, but the time wasters out here do seem to be copying the behavior.

And can’t any White escort say I’m crazy or “need fucking help”, when you not out here dealing with it from the perspective of a person of color.

Well, thank you all for your responses, even the one's that i disagree with. The responses to the thread have been eye opening. My thinking is: while I personally would never run my business in a discriminatory fashion, people have the right to be the kind of person they want to be and run their business however they wish. However, I do think that if masseurs/providers only want to work on certain types of clients, then they should own that entirely and put it in their ads so that the time of perspective clients is not wasted. Let people know how you run your business so they can decide if they want to proceed with you or not. I'm mortified reading stories about clients being turned away at the door or being treated in a very indecent way due to ...not preferences but they are actually prejudices. Let's call it what it is. I do hope they seek to give their business to those who appreciate it and are deserving.

Good point. I remember ads in the Washington Blade saying "in shape only". Some guys have told me how difficult is to top a guy who is overweight but in some cases it's also difficult for them to reach in.

Warning, might be offensive.

Unfortunately sometimes even clients lie about their age, body, etc.

I do agree with @Monarchy79 that's is a very personal business and sometimes even on Viagra can't perform nor deliver the BFE with everybody who wants to hire them. Unfortunately some guys aren't attractive to some ethnic group, bad for business but it's their body.

Most Asians won’t hire someone who’s not Nordic for example.

That is because historically there has been a hierarchy based on skin color. Light/white skin is seen as a status symbol for the rich because it meant you did not do physical labor compared to the darker lower cast that were always in the sun doing physical labor. This is why South East Asians are looked down on by usually Northeast Asians. This is also why Northeast Asians use a lot of creams that block the sun and also whiten/lighten their skin. Though a very small set of Japanese people have the ganguro fashion style so they purposefully darken their skin until they look brown skinned,

From my experience (somewhat insider) Asians are by far the main target of racist rejection by many providers. They say it's because of hygiene.

And that's why some ask for a pic. They don't give a damn about your looks otherwise as long as Ben Franklin's still in shape.

Really hygiene?!? Never knew they smelled bad though I thought it would be because of negative sexual stereotype aka small penis.

I dont think he has to know a lot of masseurs to know that to be true. It may not be your practice or your lived experience even but on this forum alone we have had black masseurs, escorts, and clients tell tales of being ghosted or canceled when they were found out to be black or even because they look darker than their pictures. It is insulting to minorities but like they say the truth hurts and facts dont care about your feelings.

Most escorts do not mind small penises. Small pay is more a consideration.

The stereotype, true or not, is that certain south Asians have a certain body smell because of spices used in their cooking. Also daily or twice-daily showers are not a universal thing. But providers often extend that stereotype to all Asians. It's a prejudice they need to get over and deal with on a one-to-one basis.
