Buddybooths are basically dead, with one or two locations that offer it anything barely worth mentioning. NYC turning into Disney Land kindve killed that scene off slowly over the past 10 years.

 

Backpage replaced it for a short bit, but not that that’s fine - rough street trade of the Buddy Booth kind is found on the streets of uptown and the Bronx.

Vishara charges $15 to go upstairs, and it was NOT worth it the few times I tried. Blue on 8th Avenue between 20 and 21 St doesn’t charge anything up front, and I’ve hooked up with some hot guys there.

Back a few years ago, I knew some of the guys who lingered in the booth stores on 8th avenue in the 30s and lower 40s... some of them were cool, some not.

 

But they definitely all were on the DL and there is no way that they are going to be friendly to someone seeking them out in their own communities.

It's more like one guy per booth with a slot (who are you calling a slot?) between them so fun can be had. Every place in NYC will 86 you if you try two per booth.

Oh you youngsters and the rules you have to follow. Back in the day, the booths were built for two but I have not been in one since the Ed Koch administration.

Oh man, I remember places like this in the Wild West days of Times Square Pre-Disney.

 

There was a place right in the corner of 8th and 42nd which had booths with about 10” x 10” windows surrounding a large room in which there were various ladies in various stages of undress. The window opened at just below eye-level and I got more than a few $10 handies there.

 

They did not tell me about that in KS!

 

Oh man, the booths in the regular porn shops on TS back in the day were open for everything. As long as you put money in the slot, you could keep going at whatever. Women, men and transwomen were available. I remember getting blown by what I thought was a lady when she said, “Oh your dick is so nice. Not as big as mine but so nice!”

That's a funny story.  I spent every minute I wasn't working near 8th & 42nd.  About 5 hours a day for two years.  I saw and learned so much.
