Advertising safe only but then actually does BB

Just curious, I recently hired an escort in Madrid who advertises Safe only and even in his ad, states no barebacking. When I got there we immediately started with barebacking then switched to a condom for awhile but then went back to barebacking until climax. I didn't care as I'm on PREP (and I'm not looking for comments but being at risk for other STI's.) but was just curious why an escort would advertise and state strictly that there is no BBing but then went ahead and did it with me without hesitation.

It's not uncommon to have clients messaging a provider to know if he does bareback even if the profile already specifies he doesn't.

But there are also clients who wouldn't touch you with a pole if the profile is anyhow bareback-friendly, no matter what.

Maybe this provider doesn't want to scare away the second group (on the contrary, reassuring them in first place by explicitly stating he doesn't bareback), while staying open for business for the first one.

I guess he was keeping up appearances for other clients who only hire guys who play safe.

A well-known porn star was offered extra money by a poster who wanted to get fucked by him wearing a condom and he refused to do it... “I will not use a condom, that’s ridiculous” he said.

I remember a time when guys asked extra to go bare.

Because BB isn’t marketable to everyone. As are many other things that an ad will be wiped cleaned of to avoid financial loss.

Wow-just wow. Times are a changing. Hope there is a cure soon!

I agree, wow ?; I may be old fashioned but it’s condom only for me...

Nothing about being safe is "old fashioned" There are 1000's of guys who have died from not being safe...a condom doesn't solve all problems..just the ones to keep you safe and alive...

Since happened to me once with an escort. We started with a condom but mid-session the condom somehow came off my dick and he slipped me in bare. I immediately pulled out and we finished with oral. I didn't say anything but I was very angry with him and had to go on PEP for a month.

Sorry to hear that, btw in some states "stealthing" is still a felony.

I advertise as safe only and clients see that but I've had a few clients take it upon themselves to either let the condom slip off or remove the condom and then to proceed going bb. It angers me because some of these clients don't think about the health of the escort, just the enjoyment they want to get for themselves.

Just curious...... why an escort would advertise and state strictly that there is no BBing but then went ahead and did it with me without hesitation.

It is just their marketing spin. You will be surprised how many guys on Grindr indicate in their profile that they are a "top" and then approach me looking to 'bottom'. You just can't believe what is written most of the time.

Didn't he price himself above average already? He must have figured out that bb is usually regarded as premium-worthy.

The offer from the poster blows my mind a bit, as it contradicts the market at a first glance; but also, it puts on the spotlight the unicity and potential irreplaceability of each provider.

Want condom with that exact guy? Sorry, we don't do that here despite what the vast majority says or does.

That's neat in his own way.

Safe? Alive? I’m not knocking condom usage, your body/health, your prerogative but....thats rather dramatic

considering in 2019 not only does antiretroviral medication exist, but surprise, so does pre exposure prophylaxis. giphy.gif

Im on PrEp and I like bareback sex, but I'm ok with condoms. When I have booked providers who say "safe only," when I show up for the appoinment, most willingly have bareback sex with me. I don't even have to persuade them. So I have come to think of "safe only" as being mostly advertising. At the same time, if a guy insisted on condoms, I would willingly comply.

But remember...regardless of prep or what other guys willingly do, prep doesn’t protect you from the other nasties: HPV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C, Gonorreah, Syphlis, Chlamydia. Not sure if you’re top or bottom, but if you’re a bottom you could have some without recognizing the symptoms.

People throw prep around as if it’s a force field and all around vaccination for everything. It’s not. And like @Keenan said, clients and gay men in general can’t just have their own pleasure and preferences in mind, without thinking about the health ramifications. And each time a person gets a venereal disease, that’s 1 to 2 weeks without sex. Aka, no money for a sex worker.

When you do bareback, you don’t know what the guys you meet are doing outside of your appointment. They could be fucking women bareback, fucking men bareback...you never know.

I recently had a discussion with a favorite client of mine, and I was happy I was able to give him a broad perspective, because you really have to think of the big picture.

For the record: I’m not being judgmental on anyone who does bareback. Hell, I ain’t gonna sit here and lie and say I haven’t either. However, clients who ask me to bareback before I even meet them...I generally don’t see them. It’s just kinda tacky and if I feel like it’s something they regularly ask for, it just seems too risky.

Point is: People need to stop parading “prep” around like its some cure all, which allows them the green light to talk of how much bareback sex they have.
