Not an escort... :p

I have not done a survey or poll so I can't tell how often escorts/clients fall for each other, but I can tell you it happens. I think said relationship can work, but it would take a lot of compromises to sustain it if both are willing.

A few of the escorts (still working and retired) I know well, have told me of how they got into serious relationships with clients. Most of these relationships didn't appear to last longer than a few years. Mainly because it seemed that the client couldn't deal with the working guy still working or the working guy quit working because the client pressured him to.

I do know of one escort who retired and is still in a relationship with the client he retired for. He's been retired for about 8 years.

This goes both for escorts and clients. How often does a client fall in love with an escort or vice versa? Can such a relationship work?

A guy I hired for almost three years fell in love with one of his clients. There were several complications. The escort did not want to give up escorting. And his new partner, that is his former client, was a relatively famous lawyer.

I hope they are still together.

I always like the idea of an old ex-whore dedicated to taking care of one man well. Unfortunately I use the word "idea of" because my experience is not finding any ex-whores. Maybe before the days of trackers and texts on idle cellphones I had that illusion. No more.

True dat. I talked to a guy on AOL chat from 2000 to 2005 before we met up, semiannually, until 2009. He then stopped working, then met a man in my same field of medicine. They were married two years ago.

Far more complex than is being presented here. Rather than giving a specific example, which may depress some, including me, the ability to make money relatively easy is difficult to forget and move on.

Clients falling in love with an escort, it happens from time to time, vice versa, not as much. Can such a relationship work? Not likely though it depends on the client. What most clients have an issue with is that the escort still needs to make money and will still be working as an escort. Many clients will get over protective and that will lead to the demise of the so-called relationship.

The love relationship exists as long as transaction is involved. I call it as relationship of convenience! The so called love is projection of lust from client side and from escort side it is due to transaction involved. But nonetheless in either case the culprit harmony secretion in brain "dopamine" is involved and once it action stops a more stronger kick is required next time! A simple question in client escort relation- will an escort fall in so called love with 250$ paying client or 5000$ paying client? I think dopamine is secreted more in later client case! Also, for most clients who are approaching an escort, it is the never before experience, looks kicks dopamine. Each of the parties will be interested in each other as long as their dopamine can be kept in action. The effect fades away once you get "more" elsewhere!

Nah. Never happens. Clients think it’s happening but remember you are paying them to make you think so. If it started out as an escort-client deal, it will remain that way. Trust me.

It works the opposite way too. Just as you will always be a client to the escort, the escort will always be an escort to you, and therefore not a candidate for a serious relationship.

From here on out yes. But mind you I did fall in love with an escort. And looking back it was quite ignorant of me to believe that it was being reciprocated. May happen both ways but more often it’s the client who ends up developing real feelings.

I did too. I thought it was all real with all the ear whispers and sensational lovemaking, I thought this is my man ....and it’s only dream now... #heartbroken ??

It does happen and it happened to me. In my case, the escort made all the running: first called me ”boyfriend”, bought me gifts then said “I love you”.

We had 3 great years together before I discovered he liked to cheat (he had anonymous sex with strangers). The break-up took 12 months; it was messy while I tried to make it work. It took me 3 years to get him out of my system.

I once read faq on rentboy and it was very informative. There it was clearly mentioned that keep it business and limit it there. Usually clients feel it to be real and become obsessive as it is not love but lust that is controlling the dopamine producing section of brain! This dopamine controls the behaviorist of clients who don't hesitate to buy expensive gifts for escorts and may never have done charity for hungry people out there! It is good to control oneself and after 10 years when you see past you will be glad for your decision.

I think you touch on an important point here. As adults, we can control our thoughts and our emotions and thus our behaviour. But we cannot control the inner workings of our brain and body.

You mention dopamine but I feel that oxytocin plays a bigger role. Just as a stressful situation can trigger a cascade of stress hormones, so a pleasurable situation and orgasm can trigger the release of oxytocin. Produced in the hypothalamus and released during sex, this neurotransmitter and hormone plays an important role in establishing trust, empathy and social bonding.

Put simply, you may know that you’re having sex with an escort and you know that his primary motivation is money. Your brain and body, however, produce a chemical response as if you’re with a much-desired lover.

I don't believe that every escort's primary motivation is money. Some just really love sex.

Human beings are complicated, and I believe that escorts and clients can connect in ways that are not purely transactional. BUT — I think it is important to always keep commerce in mind. Yes, he may enjoy sex with you, and he may genuinely like you. But no, the relationship will probably not not survive without a regular infusion of cash.
