I'm sure the increase due the virtuous hearts of the younger generation. Abstaining from any sex for one year makes a gay guy eligible to be a blood donor.

I think there's also another problem with this stat - it seems to be talking about penile-vaginal intercourse. As gay people are coming out earlier, many aren't bothering with the "bang a chick to prove I'm not gay" stage of sexual development.

I would agree that the stat is pointing towards heterosexual men but when you get on grindr or adam4adam or whatever you're using no one seems to want to meet. Even when there is a mutual attraction it seems like someone tries to find an excuse not to meet. IMHO it has to do with the whole social media cultural where people can hide behind a screen and not really meet anyone...just another reason why hiring an escort is so much easier

They're not necessarily hiding behind a screen as much as they may get their quotient of personal interaction that they have the time, energy and motivation for from non-face to face interaction. There are downsides as well as upsides to meeting people face to face and unless there's enough reason to think it's going to be worth the time and effort invested, some people may think 'why bother?' Porn's just a click away and busting a nut in the comfort of one's own place is free and less fraught and time-consuming than meeting up with someone.

my perspective of it is that if young people (30 and under) are having less sex then to me that would mean less human interaction overall...you arent out and about exploring developing relationships that could lead to sex.

lol. no sure about others but there are very few friends of mine that I've fucked - for the most part none of the women, the straight men (yes they're really straight and not in denial), a few of the gay men. I guess its mostly ex-partners that have remained in my life.

Risk of accusation of assault, you have to have permission to do anything, need to have it in writing. A sign of the times.
