I wish I could. I don’t know how people aren’t embarrassed to bring someone back to their place if it’s disgusting, especially if they plan on getting intimate. I’ve heard some real horror stories on this which is why I ensure nobody who comes to my place has a terrible experience. It’s a case of treating people how I would like to be treated.

    Ditto.
Also - a question for providers - is it common to list yourself as bi even if you're almost completely gay? I've met a lot of people (both in the real world and RM) who seem to do that. I'm guessing it signals more masculinity,

One of my current favorite providers is bi. We've had no issues with him being passionate or kissing. I do think you run a bigger risk with bi guys having more limits than a gay guy, but I also agree with others that perhaps you've been unlucky.

I'm always weary about bi guys when it comes to hiring. In my experience, it has been more "gay for pay" (bi for pay? lol) and I want someone who actually likes sex with guys. I would probably only hire a bi guy if he has good reviews over a lengthy time period (not just 3 reviews in 1 week).
Outside of hiring, wouldn't think twice. If we're going to hook up and no money is involved, there's no issue.

This is hilarious. Twinks as the sine qua non of gay desirability is a fad! I was a twink in the 90s and we were not appreciated. 80-90 percent of guys wanted muscular "Chelsea" boys. Pre-AIDS, the clone with the mustache and hairy chest was the hottest of all.
If 1940 in your profile indicates your age, you lived through this and should know that Twinks have been considered hot for about a decade. And in the next 5-10 years, it will be something else.
Like @Vegas_Millennial I generally dated older men and my husband is older than me, though we're the same generation. I would not rim or otherwise have sex with someone who was under 30 and smooth. That didn't appeal to me when I was in my 20s and it doesn't now. And I'm not into huge muscles either.

There's a lot of projection in posts like these. Speaking for myself, I am conventionally attractive, look ten years younger than my (middle) age, and am a lot of fun in and out of bed. But you - and a few others on here - seem to think most of us are hideous and obese.
A significant number of us hire, not because we can't find sex but because it's much more convenient. We're paying, so we don't have to spend hours on apps to schedule a hook-up. And "good looking" is incredibly subjective. I'd say 80 percent of the providers who get posted here by members looking for information, hold zero appeal for me. But most guys are salivating over them.
Lastly, the "slavery" comment is just horrible. Not only do we have a history of chattel slavery in this country, but there are people all over the world, including the US, who are being trafficked to have sex against their will. And, they do not get paid. In fact, by definition slaves don't get paid.
And that rimming is what set you off, feels very personal. It's a practice you find distasteful or abhorrent, so you cannot imagine someone enjoying it. So it's worse to you then "fuck me or I won't hire you", "let me fuck you or I won't hire you", "blow me or I won't hire you." Really, they're all the same.
Lastly, no one should ever coerce a provider into doing something they are uncomfortable with. But if I hire someone who says they provide a particular service - and let's stipulate that everyone involved is pristinely hygienic - and they will not perform, I would let it go. But I also would not hire them again.

You're welcome to your opinion but if you're having sex with someone, how is any part of that "too personal?"

I saw him today. He’s absolutely wonderful. His massage was strong, sensual and engaging. He’s very sweet and as far as extras go, they were well incorporated and unique. Some of the massage positions particularly with my legs and butt were novel to me. For me, the best sensual/erotic masseurs manage to seamlessly incorporate the erotic elements into the massage itself. Wagner really excels at that.
He looks as good or better than his photos. If you like thick, muscular, and furry guys, you’ll love him.

I've had a number of clients tell me they would like a "BFE" and I always ask them to define what they mean.   I've heard a lot of different descriptions.   I largely view it as being open and flexible,  including things like kissing and cuddling  (but not always).  Also there can be some "implied"  things there,   like  tenderness,  good communication and even  (gasp)  acting like a gentleman.    A good provider will take the time to find out what a client expects before agreeing to provide the service.

If you like someone, you help them.  You don't hoard them like an asshole.
That said, if he's good at what he does, he'll find a larger client base with or without one person's lip service.

Some guys advertise as both a masseur and escort.  If you want more than a massage with a happy ending, book them as an escort.  Even then, some communication in advance will help set expectations for both parties.

I don't think you can. I've gone to guys and they've been totally legit and on the second visit, the gloves are off -- so to speak.
At some point, chemistry has to take over -- on both sides.
there are times when I just want a great massage and to zone out. It's nice when the guy will read some non verbal cues.

I've done it twice that I can think of.  Once a masseur walked to my hotel in the summer and said he'd like to shower before we started, I offered to join him and some playful fondling while we showered.  The other offered some sort of scrub in the shower, which felt great, especially when he finished rinsing me off and started sucking my cock.

My tactics: visual inspection of clients, care about the kind of clients I take on (no last minute late night requests for ‘half hour’ sessions…that kind of thing), doxy prep occasionally, fastidious about regular check ups, vaccination (hep c, monkey pox), prep daily (obviously), mouthwash and pee afterwards, douche after bottoming (if practical), no drugs, no alcohol , no poppers (not for me anyway, clients can). But at the end of the day there’s risks with everything, I’m not going to be silly but I’m also not a monk…(happy to dress up as one and role play it though if that’s any client’s  thing 😂).

+ KensingtonHomo reacted to soloyo215 in for providers - the thing nobody talks about
I know I'm not a provider, but I've done plenty of work in non-profits dedicated to the physical and mental well-being of men, especially gay men, including a sector of the provider community that is typically at higher risk, so something that can be mentioned is that yes, condoms definitely help reducing the chances of an STIs, but does not eliminate them. Some STI's can be acquired orally by just kissing, and there are other things that are not necessarily considered STIs that can also be acquired with sexual contact, such as a the flu, crabs, and others.
My point with this is that it's important to remember that there's always risk, and what we can do is reduce the level of risk, not eliminate it. Yes, condoms help and are recommended for those who want to use protection, but we should keep in mind that all they do is resuce risk. It's a false sense of security to think that using condoms will not require ongoing testing if you are sexually active.
Also, there is a sector of the provider community that takes good care of themselves, which also reduces the risk of spread and transmission. I imagine you are greateful that the provider who called you did so. There's another sector of the provider community that is at a higher risk since they just work on the streets. Of course, that provides a higher health and personal safety risk.
Regardless of the use or non-use of condoms, as a sexually active person, I still make sure that everything is ok and get tested for things. I have a good relationship with my doctor, and (now a) she has conversations with me where I am candid about who/what I've done, for her to determine the appropriate testing recommendations.
My concern is that some people might just feel that they don;t need to test or that they are completely safe because they use condoms.
    Just my two cents.

This is an important topic and one which deserves serious consideration. Thanks for raising it!
I guess I’m having a lot more sex with different guys than someone who doesn’t do sex work so one might assume that I’d catch things. Especially because the majority of the sex I have is condom less. Most people I see don’t want to use a condom for sex and certainly in the porn I do it’s never with a condom. I think what people see on porn is what they like or want to do in sessions so that ‘no condom’ thing transfers over. Those clients that might want to use a condom because of concerns about STD’s tend to go for action that doesn’t include penetration (oral obviously doesn’t count as penetration!).
However, in the years I’ve been doing sex work I can’t think of any occasions when I’ve caught something from a client, and two occasions when I’ve caught something from another porn performer. It’s actually quite rare and in my check ups (every 3m) I’m clear.
I think the chances of catching something are far higher when attending sex parties or sex clubs / saunas. The reason? People who do sex work are fastidious about sexual health check ups because if they catch something then they’re unable to work for 2 weeks. Guys that go to these parties and clubs are less careful and get tested less frequently.
So whatI think is that if you see a professional then it’s probably a lot safer than if you see someone off a hookup app or at a sauna or club.
