So … 4% conversion (don’t know if you mean just serious leads or paying clients)
Here are some metrics from sales professionals:
“out of 100 leads, you can expect 2 to 5 of them to convert into paying customers”
    or this:
“According to a study by Ruler Analytics, the average conversion rate across various industries is approximately 3.2%”
    (From Bloomberg Sales Metrics 2023)
Unless you’re saying you have less than 1 in 100 inquiries turning into actual closed sales I’m not sure you’re experiencing anything any sales professional doesn’t in their day to day roles.
I depend on sales for my Income and these numbers look right to me based on my experience.

Sorry for the delay. I missed your message.  I agree with that. Unfortunately I had an issue in 2021 where a client flew me out to TX for a three night weekend and never paid me anything. I do take responsibility for that, because it does go back to my question should I get ask for a deposit so I don’t get messed up financially. I’m fine with clients not giving me one if I know they are serious and not going to just waste our time.

While I'm conventionally attractive (not super-hot) for my age, the providers who I most enjoy bring the energy and generosity that @Jamie21 and @Jarrod_Uncut both espouse. I went for a massage yesterday, and the provider was much more attractive than his photos, which were just cute. The session went much further than a typical sensual massage because we had chemistry. Sexual chemistry is much more than appearance. It's pheromones, voice, personality, and countless other factors. We had a nice chat before and at the beginning of the massage. Afterward, we talked about how far it went, and he said he's attracted to older guys and what we liked about each other from our conversation and interaction. This was not romantic, but it was enjoyable for both of us.
For me, if clients hire only "10s" who are likely obsessed with appearance and also go in thinking, "A guy that looks like this would never fuck me," then that will be your experience. If you hire attractive guys who also enjoy their work, love providing pleasure and find a variety of types attractive, your experience will be different.

Well, I could claim that I'm a dead ringer for Jacob Elordi and all you have to go on is my word. "Conventional standards" for what passes as hot - particularly Insta models - are actually guys who are taking steroids, HGH, and have eating disorders. Over the past 20 years, men have begun to show disordered eating and body dysmorphia at rates comparable to women.

That’s it, from someone @Jarrod_Uncutwho knows. Ask most guys who do sex work and they’ll say similar. It’s got nothing to do with looks or whether the client is ‘hot’ (however that’s defined, here I’m using it conventionally as in someone most people would say is attractive) or not.
I get hired by all sorts of guys, old, young, large, small, able bodied, disabled, hot and not hot. In most instances I don’t know until they walk the door. If they’re attracted by me (and they’ve seen my advert, my pics, read about me etc so I’m assuming there’s at least a superficial attraction otherwise they wouldn’t be here) then that’s a turn on for me. If they become more turned on during the session, by what I’m doing then that’s even more of a turn on. And so the more fun they have with me the better it is.
Absolutely nothing to do with looks. I’ve filmed porn with some of the most attractive guys in terms of looks and there’s been hardly any sexual energy…that’s hard work! It’s not what you look like it’s what you do that’s sexy.
I’ll be confident that any provider who’s done this work for any decent length of time will say the same. Client looks is irrelevant. Client behaviour is what matters.

This makes me wonder how attractive or pleasant you are IRL. You seem to think if you weren't paying, the providers you engage would cross the street to avoid you.
But I think a lot of us have nice, collegial, and enjoyable conversations and time spent with providers. Do you assume everyone you hire is not attracted to you? In my experience, some guys seem genuinely attracted, and others seem to enjoy our company. We don't hire again if we don't get either of those vibes.
But this is part and parcel of some clients' views that men are solely visually attracted and that attraction is only skin deep. Attraction is complex. In some cases, a guy who is interesting or can make me laugh becomes sexually desirable, and that's not accounting for pheromones, sexual chemistry, etc., all of which are not primarily based on appearance.

Which massage sites do you refer to? Because I know on RentMasseur, one can disable email messages accordingly. And of course it’s definitely not 1999 lol, however email is still the shit: in the form of instant messaging. Now THAT was the shit I remember lol.

I can do RentMasseur emails, but not so much RentM instant messages. I always try to send at least 1 reply even after my auto message goes out: just to let them know I’m real. But not many seem to transition to phone. I won’t use messenger solely to book an appointment.

I rarely ever take unexpected phone calls from my ads anymore. Too many times, I’ve been sucked into chatting with someone or asked explicit questions when it was off timing. So even though people may have preference to call, it doesn’t suit everyone.

^Agree. This is work for us, NOT a vacation. Part of that work is making it seem as though it is. A true vacation to me is going where I want, with who I want, when I want, and I am paying for it with my own money because I value and choose everything about the experience and do not have to perform anything for anyone, or be beholden to anyone for my time or attention or sex.
Good for you @Thelatin for finding an arrangement with two guys you like for such a relatively low cost. I understand it may be a big total dollar amount out of your pocket for the three days, but it’s actually a low fee per day per person when you break it down. If it works for them and for you, great. For me, I stand to make the same or more over three days taking several clients without having to entertain nearly 24/7, so the economics of it make less sense for me.
I couldn’t do a “vacation”, however glamorous it may be, for $500/day… I currently charge $500 for two hours which my good clients regularly pay without hesitation. I charge $1k for five hours. Some of my select long term loyal clients I will do more like 7-8 hours +/- for $1k. That’s in line with what you’re paying for TWO guys, and you’re getting the extra benefit of nearly 24/7 company from each. Wowza.
The meals and drinks, etc are not part of our compensation, by the way. Sure it costs you and it feels like you’re treating us, but that’s just a necessary and customary cost of longer term hiring. Feeling like you’re treating us is part of the emotional benefit to you. Not that we don’t enjoy food, beverages, sometimes gifts and so on, but we can’t pay our bills with meals and drinks we consume with our client or an article of clothing he buys for us during an afternoon out. All of these things are for the benefit of the client, to enrich his overall experience, to make him feel great, as much as some of it is a practical matter for us. We all have to eat.
All that said, I really enjoy longer term hires. The best ones are clients with whom I’ve built up a good working relationship over many shorter hires. They say it’s worth every penny and more. It’s like giving someone the best day (weekend, week, whatever) of their life. Or at least the best day they have had in a long time. For some, it’s once. For others, it’s once a month. For all, it’s special.

…and not to seem unappreciative of the hourly/under $500 bookings. But:
I had a booking over the weekend that was a longer visit over 1,000. I only had 1 other visit like that all year, and it makes a big difference.
I know $250+ is a lot for most dudes to give for an “experience” anyway, but I had to run it by someone who sees me occasionally the other day: Higher amount bookings tend to be the most important thing to biz, next to regulars of course. Some of these guys only want to throw a couple hundred bucks, but they’ll talk all about how they spent $1,000 on this, or $2,000 on that luxury like it’s nothing. Which is fine, it’s their money and prerogative…
But at the same time, I can’t always multiply 200 or 300 by 5 clients in a week. Especially in markets that already have plenty of new and local escorts and masseurs, but not really enough clients to go around. So as I explained to someone the other day, “I feel like you expect me to feel asking $250/$300 is too expensive”. What if that is the only booking I have that weekend, or in some cases the whole week? Figure out how to make that last. It really doesn’t.
I know some clients probably don’t wish to spend an overnight or two days with someone. But it’s looking really attractive to go the longer session only route when doing certain bookings/locations. Like lately, I’m cutting back on the “go to a city and see 5 clients” because that’s not really always the turn out. Even after  sifting thru 1,000 messages. If they haven’t texted and done what’s needed to confirm, most times it’s just inquiries and guys bullshitting around…
So 5 “clients” could end up only being 1 actually booking (true story last month in one city, but fortunately it was an extended time booking).

I don't make promises/commitments I don't know the circumstances will allow me to fulfill. I'm just that way! I won't tell you I'll be there in 30 minutes if I it might take me 35 or 25 because of traffic, traffic lights, etc.
He didn't have to determine it. He simply had to wait 10/13 minutes comfortably at home. I know it's big deal when you think you control the world with your phone on your hands, right?
A provider a couple of months ago was staying near Reagan Airport and close to a yellow line station. If I have time to check www.wmta.com I know exactly how long it will take me to get there and I do it every time before flying.  He had someone at 11 and was free now, therefore I simply told him I'll put on my shoes, leave now (8 PM) and I have 10 / 12 mins walk to the metro. I might wait 1 or 10 mins for the next train, I'll be there closer to 9.
I waited 3 mins for the metro, got there and walk into his hotel at 8:42 PM. Later on I waited for him because he wasn't ready.... the appointment was fine but HE was late for it.
I'd rather just leave my place catch the train instead of spending 2 extra minutes at home checking the metro site considering the app is unreliable.
We have tough/demanding clients who proudly brag about telling escorts "if you're here 15 mins. late consider the appointment cancelled". I'm not that way, I keep my word, don't overpromise and except the same from others.
I'm not an uber, not everything is life should be like uber. Allow me to put the phone in my pocket without texting my ass off and get there, please!

Okay, you know I’m going to have to go in on you..so, just put your seat 💺 belt on because I’m about to give it to you straight 😂
First of all, idk what the conversation was like prior to what you started with. I don’t imagine that it went from getting dressed to “on your way” in such short notice, how much notice did you actually give him? And even if you did get dressed in 2 minutes, that’s not a time frame. Y’all should have set a time frame, and if it was less than 1 hours notice, it’s no wonder it didn’t work out. Clients and escorts need to discard this idea that we can meet at fast as an Uber can arrive: plan ahead and avoid miscommunication. It doesn’t have to be days ahead…just 2 to 4 hours can make a difference.
This is why I stress clearly I require at least 2 hours notice for all bookings. I don’t care if you’re at the hotel room next door to me…or should I say, UNLESS you’re at the hotel room next door to me lol. Even yesterday I had to tell a client: The earliest I can get to you is, two hours from now (would have been 9:30 p.m.).
Reason why I ask two hours notice is because: it gives time for both people to figure out location and time of arrival. It also limits rushing and leaves time for unexpected time delays. The other day, a client of mine went to the wrong hotel which had a similar room number as mine. Since it was less than two hours notice, he forgot to get the actual name of the hotel 😂

You seemed spur of moment, he seemed unexpected…It was just an unnecessary dumpster fire that could have been avoided.

I don’t think it’s just the young generation. I have seen older guys blow up my phones texting…asking ETA, here yet, etc etc. almost like they’re clutching their phones in anxiety. It doesn’t need to be that way.
When I’m doing non-business hookups, I don’t rush the guy. I just make sure everything is okay and chill if they coming to me. Worked just fine the other night. Sex is a privilege, not a right. Patience is key. It’s funny how people always want it fast when THEY want it, but when I want it: they want to drag it out and take days, weeks, YEARS to return a text.

I often see a common issue where clients try to plan too much other stuff around booking a date, non of which involves the escort: but expects the escort to drop their whole life and rush to their beck. Ah, no. If they can plan this and that and everything else, they can plan time with us too. Not some last minute, spur of the moment, now or never type of interaction..
  25. Hide Eyes
Jarrod_Uncut got a reaction from Marc in Calif in Thoughts on deposits
Reason for this is: in the states at least, you simply can’t get use the word “deposit” on RentMen. They will delete it just like they deleted rates. I can’t say deposit in my ad, but I’ve been able to use other code that is quite clear on the deposit asked.
Also, I checked your search results: good idea however, that is only pulling up results within the area you are in, what city are you looking in?

I’ll tell you why (I know that’s probably not what you want). Because one particular person went from stating an opinion, to then recommending others not to do something. That’s where the problem lies. Agree or disagree, but don’t start telling others not to do it and then further reference other guys who don’t. Other guys/escorts aren’t going to pay my bills or my hotel/gas if a client cancels. Period. So, nobody should talk about what other escorts do and don’t do. It’s not about that.

In addition, each time it comes up…someone adds “but I won’t do it”. So then the discussion continues. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the back and forth. It takes a bit of communication to come to an understanding, and also getting to the nitty gritty behind why some do and don’t. I think this is probably the most in depth it’s ever gotten.

I seen one escort in his ad claim, “I don’t accept pay app payments, the federal government is watching our transactions.” Which is not true. I don’t think it should have ever even been approved, but…once again people have their reasonings. I know many clients, even the non-deposit guys, will still use a pay app to settle up.
Now, with everything said: it does make me question if I want to continue deposits…however at this particular point in my life, I’m not sure its the right timing to get rid of it, even with business being slow. Maybe at some point this year when I have a full time in-call back up and running, and most of my bookings are within 30 minutes away.

But even still: I service a sketchy market. Kansas City. The vast majority of guys offering to pay here: want us to host. And often on short notice. Even outcalls are same day requested, and it’s just too much trying to do those without deposits. Imagine how stupid and foolish it feels to leave a friend/family member/event to meet a client and he flakes? Do that a few times, over the course of a few months and you hopefully learn to do deposits.
However it’s not just here, just about every city in the country has its flakes…persistent flakes who are dismissive, and then come around 6 months later like it never happened. Like wait: aren’t you the same MoFo who said “nevermind/you’ll pass/no I don’t do deposits” and now you’re trying to get with me again? If I’m such a scammer, or my rates are too high, why are you still trying to get in contact with me 🤔
But as stated: I’ve been in the industry without deposits, longer than I have been with. The only difference is, I’m not going extra miles hoping the client is real; nor taking last minute or advanced bookings at a loss.
