I don't know if this is relevant or not to what you're saying. But. I am lucky enough that I have no worries about money, and get to have semi-regular travel around the USA and Canada. There have been a couple of times when I have made an offer to an escort where I would book a two bedroom unit, instead of just the one that I would need, and then offered the other room to an escort with no expectations. Just to support their business.
 
I've got my own things going on when I travel, and there is no need (or expectation) of any sort of 'service' fee. And, in general, I think outright kindness isn't believed or trusted, there's suspicion. It's made me not, for the most part, bother any more with making offers. And while it's annoying to see suspicion, when the only thing being offered is a kindness, I can also see that suspicion is probably a necessary and useful tool for the industry.

I highly recommend Last Tango in Halifax. It's a great story, with great acting. Two older widowers reconnect via Facebook with their childhood sweet hearts, and get a second chance.

Hi, I also thought Broadchurch was very well done. The Brits seem to have a number of these series that last for three or four shows for two or three seasons. Often a couple of years apart. I expect, that must give the main actors (Sherlock another example of this) a break and a chance to work on other projects. High quality often.

Hmm. A number of random thoughts on this. I have deep emotional and intellectual connections with many people that I don't have sex with. And hot sex without (some at least) emotional connection, does not a repeat encounter presage. Years ago I tried to have a relationship with a man who was kind and thoughtful and did not challenge me intellectually at all (constantly agreed or acquiesced). The sex got very boring very quickly. I'd rather be single than not have both with a partner.

I was never good at receiving compliments, although I find myself now working to acknowledge them and saying thank you. People like to have their kindnesses acknowledged apparently … duh. My compliments tend toward intelligent and kind - it's the plane I operate on.
