  1. @JEC @Benjamin_Nicholas If you're still in PV, you may want to inquire about Amaria Villa's "Men's Tuesdays". I just started seeing ads for it on Facebook. Don't know if it's your cup of tea, but thought I'd share. Looks like you can get transportation, a massage, a buffet, and go go's at a clothing optional pool, all for $100. That price is pretty good just for the massage, if it's a good massage
  2. I use to enjoy decorating the outside of my house, but have always hated taking the decorations down in January. Plus, buying and replacing lights are expensive. For the last several years, I hire someone who decorates the outside of the house and provides his own lights. It's $300 for a single story house or $450 for a two story house. I get to enjoy the decorations without the hassle of getting on the roof, and I get to change the colors each year. The guy buys Christmas lights in mass each January and stores them in his warehouse as part of his window washing business.
  3. Because of what everyone else has mentioned above, I don't even bother trying to park at or near Johnson's on a Friday or Saturday night. I just Uber or taxi. On other nights I'll park, but like others said it may be a block away. Le Boy and Boardwalk always have plenty of parking. LeBoy previously used to charge for mandatory valet, but on my last visit in January 2021 valet was complementary, but I tipped as is custumary
  4. I've mentioned this site to a few professionals; mostly those who are just starting out in the business. I do it so they could read into what clients what (no upsells, not cutting time short, etc.). I've never got any indication that they were upset or offended, or that they followed through with checking out this site. If they were discussed on this site and that's how I found them, I'll mention that to them
  5. My father said the same thing to me when I asked him if he wanted to join me on a cruise. He quickly changed his attitude on our first cruise to the Mexican Riviera and agrees it was the most relaxing vacation for each of us. He has since joined me on cruises to the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Hawaii, Alaska, and Australia/Fiji. Without those cruises we probably would not have bonded so much, as he was in his 70s/80s and me in my 20s/30s. The cruise allowed us to experience a vacation together but gave me the freedom to pursue more active excursions without him
  6. I refuse to pay a resort fee or destination fee, and I want daily housekeeping. That limits my choices very much but they do exist. I make it known when leaving a review that those are the items that matter to me, along with a comfy bed, AC that works, and good shower pressure (no "low-flow). Some properties have been great, I just need to remind them about housekeeping every morning it seems. I don't really care about an included breakfast, but that seems to be a big deal to a lot of people.
  7. Cellphone in a red plastic party cup
  8. They all suck. But I'm with @purplekow; I hire a housekeeper who comes every week, so I never use my vacuum. When I retire and will be home more perhaps, I'll spend a little more and hire a naked houseboy to clean every week. I'll probably still need to keep my regular housekeeper, to clean the spots the naked houseboy missed while he was bent over
  9. I've had great bed massages, that were both very therapeutic and often included penetrative sex. Usually paid about $200 for 90 minutes. Also, with every escort I've hired , I try to book two hours and ask if they can start with an hour massage on the bed.
  10. I found it varies by city. In some city Uber prices are lower, and for others it's Lyft. In some cities the availability of drivers on both platforms are about equal, and in some cities one or the other (usually Lyft) does not operate. My ex drove an older (7yr?) car that had a body part replaced, so he could not drive for Uber in one state because the car was considered "salvaged", so he drove for Lyft. But when he moved to Nevada, he could not drive for Lyft because his car was too old, but Uber let him drive here. So sometimes it is the self imposed regulations by either platform that vary by state which influences which drivers with which vehicles are on either platform.
  11. I'm staying at Canyon Club that weekend
  12. I suspect they do it because they can advertise prices in the USA on rentmassuer but not on rentmen
  13. And decades ago when there were more men than women on campus, the opposite was true. Women, or "co-eds", were highly coveted and it really didn't matter if they dated or slept with several men at the same time, because they were in demand
  14. It's very typical of Eastern Asian culture to be blunt and ask your age, or weight, or salary, or other questions that are not traditionally polite to ask in America. Also, it is becoming typical of younger people of all colors. The best way to answer is in a way that educates them it is rude to ask those questions. For example "I'm usually not asked my age, some people think it's rude to ask. How old do you think I am?"
  15. A few state pensions are exempt from social security. My paycheck deduction is only for state pension, and no social security. If I ever work a second job and pay into social security, or am someday eligible for a social security spousal benefit, my social security will be reduced by about two thirds of my pension. That is referred to as the public pension windfall provision in social security. That is the price to pay for being able to work a job social security exempt.
  16. There's so much of the world to see and explore, and not every civilization has the same values. The whole point of traveling is to see something new and different. Yes, safety first. But every hotel or restaurant I visit doesn't need to have the rainbow flag on display. And as long as you don't bend over and take a dick up your ass in the restaurant, I'm sure you won't be arrested after dining. One advantage of long cruises is you get a sample of ports in different countries, especially to countries you might not otherwise have visited. And they're not going to dock anywhere that's not safe. If you like a particular country, you can arrange to have a longer vacation there in the future. And if you don't like the port, just go back on the ship and life will feel like sanitized cooperate America again.
  17. I've never sailed on Royal Caribbean. But I have sailed on Holland America, Celebrity, Princess, and Carnival. I'm not a fan of the big ships. I would much prefer a smaller Holland America or Celebrity ship. I know Holland America operates a few Grand Voyages lasting several months. I am eyeing one of those trips when I retire in 2028.
  18. Pensions are like golden handcuffs. I, too, work for local government and have a well funded pension. They are great at rewarding those who stay at the same company, cutting down on recruitment and training costs. Unfortunately, most employees don't stay at a company long enough to get the full value of their pension. About 4 years ago I really wanted to move to New York or Chicago just to try something new and exciting, but I basically would have been walking away from $2million (the estimated value of my pension if it was in a 401k instead of a defined benefit plan). If you have the discipline to save 20% of your gross income and invest in diversified assets, you'll be just as set as if you had a pension, with the freedom to switch careers multiple times which may help increase future earnings. Pensions do help reduce anxiety for people who don't like to invest themselves. If I didn't have a pension coming, I would look into an annuity for part of my retirement income
  19. My best friends retired in 2020, sold their house and all belongings that couldn't fit into two large travel trunks, and planned to live in cruise ships for the rest of their lives. They are in their early 60s. Unfortunately the Wuhan pandemic hit about two weeks after they retired, so they've been living in timeshares for the last two years. They finally just on their first cruise in retirement, in Europe. Because they are price sensitive, they seem to be alternating between timeshares and cruises, wherever there is a last minute deal
  20. "Let's travel to see different cultures, but avoid places that don't have the same values as us.". Seems ironic. If it were a hundred years ago and I had the means to travel, I wouldn't avoid countries that still had slavery or did not allow women to vote. It may influence where I decide to set up business, but it seems counterintuitive to travel the world and only visit places that have the same culture as home
  21. I'm not giving up my Platinum Star Gay stutus
  22. Would you really be straight for nine months? I prefer to travel for nine months gay
  23. YES! When I retire in 2028, I will be taking a 6 to 9 month cruise. That has been my plan for the past few years. The longest cruise I've been on so far is 15 nights. I've never cruised for less than 7 nights.
