Just avoid Las Vegas the weekend before Thanksgiving, unless you plan on staying Downtown along Fremont Street. It's Formula One Racing weekend. The Strip is a race track and every hotel room along the Strip hears the race all night long. Traffic is a nightmare to get in or out of any hotel near the Strip. Lots of tourists who visited Las Vegas that weekend last year, without prior knowledge of the race, left very disappointed.

This is exactly what I do... Book another holiday. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Here in the U.S., I envy Europe's gay saunas and brothels in Barcelona and Zurich where sex can be had for as little as 3 songs with a stripper in North America.
