If that shocks you, you should visit South Africa. 🇿🇦 I spent a few weeks in both Cape Town and Johannesburg. Going rate was $25 an hour, $120 overnight when paid in local currency. And these are guys on Rentmen with customer reviews. You could probably find cheaper on Grindr...but why bother? 😎 It is fun to be able to tip generously and hardly feel a dent in your wallet while the guys keep sending you WhatsApp messages, asking to meet again. I haven't been this popular since I stopped dressing in drag! 🫦

Just got back from a trip to South Africa, Botswana and Namibia. There are plenty of guys on the apps and some handsome ones for hire. Limited profiles on Rentmen - it is too expensive for guys in these locations where income is far below what you would pay in the larger developed world cities. Cape Town, uMhlanga/Durban and Johannesburg/Pretoria were a lot of fun. Very affordable rates but be aware that PreP isn't common so recommend you play safe. Didn't feel like anyone really cared about my orientation, but most guys are discreet so public displays of affection is not common.

I watched both parts 1 and 2 again on a rainy day. It was okay - definitely star studded, but it didn't do a good job of telling the story. The Syfy channel mini series did a better job in staying true to the story and dealing with all the moving parts. I also like the Syfy channel follow up "Children of Dune" as it continues the story. As a bonus, it had a great soundtrack.
