  1. Actually the article is incorrect in that case - her comment about putting a finger in the bullet hole was made to Larry Craig (yes, THAT Larry Craig) as well, on the senate floor when they debated the 1994 gun control legislation. She didn't say she tried to find a pulse - she was trying to stop the bleeding and find a pulse. You can probably find the clip on YouTube. The source article: "I tried to get a pulse and put my finger through a bullet hole."
  2. There are reasons why my two regulars enjoy spending time with me. It may be mostly about the rate I am willing to pay for their time. I am also low drama (discount requests count as drama). Never try to short change them (no discount requests). Adjust rates upwards every other year (again, no discounts). Annual Christmas bonus, even if it isn't a huge amount. Always treat them better than I would want to be treated. It is a slippery slope. I'm sure alternative arrangements can work, but I learned long ago that they don't work for me. Keep it simple stud.
  3. I've lived in a few countries and have had to get physicals and other problems seen to. But always by "private" doctors and not public/government funded services, so my experience may be skewed. South Africa surprised me by the level of care I received - expensive by local standards, but not so by US standards. Doctors, dentists were all very good, well trained, communited well and had modern equipment. It has become a mecca for Brits who wants affordable cosmetic surgery, for example. It is quickly becoming the UK's Mexico! Thailand was hit and miss. A concierge service helped me find better alternatives. Ask around the expat community if you need to see a good doc. Communication was a problem - I had to ask probing questions and instructions for medication was not clear. (Called my US doctor for clarification) Canada...oh, dear Canada. I love thee so, but stick to hockey my dear friends. At least there you understand the need for skill, speed and finesse! 😋 The care I received in the UK was...fine. My doctor was a young lad from Jamaica. I will give him credit for spending time with me, but it was mostly talking about his wish to live/work in America and not about my inflamed shoulder injury. The equipment was not "state of the art" and he told me had to bring some of his own supplies. The nurse was dismissive and didn't do the usual blood pressure/wellness check - he sighed and did it himself.
  4. From the CDC's website confirming Prep was first approved in 2012. https://www.cdc.gov/nchhstp/newsroom/fact-sheets/hiv/PrEP-for-hiv-prevention-in-the-US-factsheet.html Here is a link to the first study published discussing the potential that viral loads could be undetectable and not be transmitted to partners. Published 2011. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/HPTN_052
  5. Your dates are way off. PreP was approved in 2012. Geez, when will barebackers stop sneering at those of us who wear condoms because we care about our health and the health of our partners??
  6. I am sorry this happened to you. You are going to have to report the theft to the police. It is necessary if you want to file a claim with your insurance company. You don't have to go into your "hiring" details, but will have to provide details that can help the police track him down. Like phone number and pictures. Do call your bank/credit card companies and notify them so they can check your accounts for unauthorized transactions and replace your cards. If your computers are set up to "remote wipe" like mine are, initiate the wipe. When you get new computers, change your login details for your accounts, in case the old credentials are saved in your browser on stolen computers. If he has your keys, you may need to change locks too since your wallet/ID probably has your address on it. And post a link of the thief here so we know to avoid him. Alternatively if he's been discussed here in a separate thread, leave a comment in the thread, something like "I met him. I do not recommend." When I see that, I know something is up. Good luck buddy!
  7. I am sorry to hear about your experience. Hired him a number of times before Covid - have recommended him a few times when asked. This included group settings too. He played well with me and in a group, always delivered and did not set off a "crazy" alarm. One of the 5 star reviews is likely mine and I stand by it, given my experience. His rates were always super reasonable too, for what he offered.
  8. I never did. My plan is to wait until end of summer and see if his travel/social schedule tapers out.
  9. Does that mean you have had the pleasure of his company and would recommend?
  10. Congratulations on being lucky in love.
  11. Consider: she is a crime reporter. As the expression goes: to a person with a hammer ever problem looks like a nail. "Megan Cassidy is a crime reporter with The Chronicle, also covering cops, criminal justice issues and mayhem. Previously, Cassidy worked for the Arizona Republic covering Phoenix police, Sheriff Joe Arpaio and desert-area crime and mayhem."
  12. I call bullshit. I have been to San Francisco multiple times the past year. Staying in hotels in various areas around downtown...Chinatown, Union Square, Mission District. Went outside and walked to restaurants after dark, used the subway system, jogged outside. Never ONCE did I feel unsafe. A bigger concern was those damn steep hills. Walking from the financial district, up hill, to the InterContinental Mark Hopkins after work is quite the workout. Especially if you have to do it again later, after a multi course work dinner and a few bottles of wine. Don't believe everything you read. Go see for yourself.

I am a little confused of your use of "$160 pounds". Are you quoting dollars or pounds??
  14. Did you fail to see this: What more do you need?
  15. Why don't you spare yourself the suspense and sign up for his OnlyFans? 🤓
  16. Some frogs won't turn into princes, no matter how many times you try to kiss 'em. 🫣
  17. My favorite is downtown Philly! I kid you not...There is a regular Marriott, a Marriott Courtyard and a Marriott Residence Inn next to each other on two city blocks. My guy usually ends up at the wrong damn Marriott!!🤭
  18. Profile states: Muscle Power Bttm. Wonder no more. 🤭
  19. I will admit...I am looking for an opportunity to diversify a little, more so than just a desire to acquire bonds. My portfolio is very heavy in stocks and cash. You know what they say... diversification is the only free lunch in finance.
  20. Regardless of the fuzzy math, the prevailing question is...now that inflation is showing real signs of getting under control and we expect the Fed to stop raising interest rates in the next 6 months...is it a good time to start buying bonds to lock in yields and perhaps benefit from the premium that will emerge in the future when rates start to drop.
  21. We are initiating proceedings against you to revoke your gay card! 😋
  22. Indeed, the first time I saw this statue of the girl facing the bull on Wall Street, my first thought was of Sinead O'Connor and that infamous photo moment. I saw the same spirit in her features. Defiant. Fierce. Challenging. Provocative.
  23. If you are going to spread conspiracy theories, you gotta make it good. Instead of "the powers that be" call them "the cabal". And add some historical context to make it really stick. "After all, the Jynneos vaccine is named after the magician Jannes from the historical Jewish text". 👍
  24. Yes, I suspect the same. 😳
