I don't care about clutter, but I do care about cleanliness.  I'm not talking about needing to pass a white glove test, but if the sheets are obviously dirty or if the bathroom clearly needs to be cleaned it's a major turn off. 
The other thing that's important to me is discretion.  I'm not happy when I'm obviously seeing the previous client leave as I arrive or if I see someone arrive as I depart.  I'm not thrilled if I walk through/by a room with someone else in it.

Safe area is very subjective. Often the "safest" areas are town are far from transit and not as easy to get to. Most downtowns often have higher crime but are much easier to get to and often are where many escorts seem to live. That's definitely the case in Denver anyway.
I do like a guy that has a hot setup though. I usually see the same guys over and over, so I use the visible envelope method.  When I’ve had providers ask upfront, it’s been fine, although on a personal level, I found it off-putting when one provider I’d seen before counted it in front of me.
My general view when seeing new is to follow the provider’s lead.  By the time I see someone, I’ve tried to find out info about them.  I don’t see guys who have multiple allegations on RM or here of having done runners.  So at that point, I’m not concerned about getting ripped off.

Ultimately age is just a number, so if they call themselves 34 when they're actually 44, that might not be a big deal.  But using photos from when they were 34, when they are actually 44 and look different from the photos, would be a bigger issue in my opinion.

I disagree a little bit because there are escorts who are outstanding on the emotional part as well, almost as good as a therapist, but you are right in the sense that you can count these providers with the fingers of one hand. Unfortunately there is nothing on the Rentmen reviews system to signal that one provider could be good at this. This is why I will always read the reviews to find some insights about the provider.

Just to clarify, I was not thinking of hiring an escort to talk through my breakup. I have a therapist and friends for that. I would be hiring for a sexual reason, but more in the hopes that it would be somehow emotionally healing for me vs simply fulfilling a carnal desire.
