WilliamM you used the word "everyone" I did NOT. My recommendations were directed at this specific poster and no one else.

    No, don't lie.
Just be honest and up-front.  If they can't handle your chosen profession, they're not the one for you.
YOU dictate your life and happiness.  Always remember that.

Thus far my age (80) has not keep me from doing the things I wish to do.  Now that this fucking pandemic seems to be receding I will start traveling again.  I also hire escorts on a regular basis.  In fact I have a three-way set up for the 13th of this month and I have arranged to have an escort accompany me to Puerto Vallarta on my next trip there in November.  Life is STILL good and I intend to make good use of it.

Every episode of Leave It To Beaver that I watched as a boy should have told me that I was gay! I really liked Wally Cleaver and watched every show. But back then it wasn't to be...gays just didn't yet exist in my universe. I feel with Dow's death that part of my youth is gone, as if it wasn't already.

In the end when all is said and done the only thing that counts is doing whatever makes you happy and is not self destructive. Good luck making your decision and by all means HAVE FUN.

I grew up in a Los Angeles neighborhood that was predominately Jewish. Thus I grew up sprinkling my conversations with Yiddish words. I still use them to this day. After I had taught a few months a group of my freshmen students approached me and asked if I was Jewish. When I asked why they asked they said that I was constantly using Yiddish words when speaking to the class. I explained my youth and they had a good laugh.  These kids remained close to me during their entire four years of high school. When they graduated they presented me with an autographed copy the the book "The Joys of Yiddish". That book remains one of my most cherished possessions to this day.
With that background in mind I must say that I cringe as the use of the word schmuck in casual conversation. The word is insulting and offensive in both Yiddish and English.

I will be 70 in October, and with seeking playmates,  I really dont put an age on it.  Whomever I have some connection with is the guy for me.  My longtime partner was 10 years younger, and we had 22 wonderful years together.  And he NEVER called me Daddy  (I hate that)
No matter how much you moisturize and take care of yourself, nature has other plans for you, and at some point you will look in your mirror and looking back will be sags and wrinkles, gray hair and age spots..  For guys consumed with Vanity, this will be a difficult reality check, and the impotus to stay young will come from seeking out "young guys"...   Bad approach....you'll NEVER be young again.
Stay active, stay visible, and surround yourself with people that make you feel good and understand you.  Leave your options and mind open and your expectations neutral.
Embrace who you are now, avoid "labels", and just DO YOU........

Costco has also not changed the $4.99 price of their huge rotisserie chickens. If I’m making Enchilada Casseroles or Chinese Chicken Salad for a large party, I NEVER buy and cook chickens. I simply buy them at Costco and shred them it’s far cheaper.  There is a Costco four blocks from my home and I use it as my regular grocery store. I absolutely love the place. I usually go in looking for one item and come home with a full grocery cart.  Costco isn't always the cheapest but I love their business and employee practices therefore I regularly shop there.  I used to be a fan of Trader Joe's but definitely NOT so much since Aldi bought out the chain.

Death and dying are facts of life. If people can't bring themselves to using the terms in relation to people or pets they are in some sort of denial.
Have you noticed newspapers like the NYT don't use terms like passing or other euphemisms for death. They deal with it straight up.

An interesting situation here. One of my best friends has two adult children (in their early 40’s). His son is single, and his daughter is in a same sex marriage. His daughter and her spouse decided they wanted a child. The daughter did not want to carry the child, but her spouse did. When they announced their decision to my friend and his wife the wife suggested that they approach their son as the sperm donor. After the son realized that his mother was not asking him to have sex with his sister-in-law he agreed. The two women now have a seven-year-old daughter. The girl is the biological granddaughter of my friend and his wife. She is their son’s biological daughter and the uncle-in-law of his sister's child – INTERESTING. At first the whole thing seemed weird but now everybody in VERY comfortable with their choices.

I have traditionally been very conscious of prices in grocery stores. Nowadays I go in buy what I want and ask the checker to throw the receipt away. Frankly I'm NOT going to stop entertaining and thus I buy what I need to do so and to hell with the prices. However, is seems that most people, myself included, are very concerned about inflation. I vividly remember what it was like during the Carter Administration.

Hello, all. a couple of you have reached out and I realize that I again, had vanished mostly, for which I apologize. I also have noted that in another thread, someone theorized that my posts had been a "creative writing exercise," which I assure you they were not. Posting here was deeply therapeutic to me as I struggled with some personal issues, and I'm grateful for the welcome you gave me. I'm sorry if anyone didn't believe me, but I don't know what I can do about that without compromising my sons' privacy so there you are.
Now let's see. Older Brother is still on Capitol Hill and loves it. He was not there during the 1/6 riots, I'm glad to say. His girlfriend graduated from GW law school this spring, and I think they are thick as thieves. No marriage plans yet, but I think she wants to get a career established first.
Navy Twin has graduated from flight school in Pensacola, and will be piloting Hawkeyes, a plane I had not known, but it's an "Information Gathering" vessel. As he says, "I won't be bombing anything, but I'll be choosing the targets." Okay. Despite my continued mobility issues, I was able to get to Florida for his winging, a brief but moving ceremony, and my parents came along-- so proud. He and his girlfriend will get married this fall at the Naval Academy Chapel, and I couldn't be happier, I really love her.
DePaul Twin finished his 5 year BA-MA program and is working, for now, at a tech firm in Chicago, which he loves, although I think this is a "starter job," Still happily single, and he's become the family social director, planning our regular Zoom meet-ups.
And me? Well, better, but the progress is slow. I use a cane, and have some cognitive problems, but, not as bad as at first, and improving. And my friend? (We both still resist "boyfriend" but frankly, that's what he is). That is very, very good. He was so patient with my medical issues, so attentive, and so kind. The boys and their gf's have all met him and like him a lot.
If I were to describe my ideal man, I'd have said taller than me, on the lean side, mostly smooth, blond or redhead, blue eyes. He checks none of those boxes. He's a bit shorter than me with a solid muscular build, brown hair and eyes, and a pretty furry chest. And so that's now my ideal man. He does have the broad shoulders I used to post about as major turn-ons, though. And we're pretty sexually compatible, as I once posted, although he took some getting used to-- be's a big one downstairs! But he's sensitive and patient and we have a great time. On about our third time together, we were holding each other after sex and he murmured something I didn't catch. I asked what he had said, and he said, "I wish I didn't hurt you." I think that was the moment I fell in love.
Anyway, hi everybody, you have meant a lot to me, and I'll try to be more present.
