I just met him. He’s awful. Bad communication, awkward, almost rude. $300 for a 60 minute body rub. He blocked me as soon as I left, knowing I was likely to leave a bad review. Just don’t.

They're good to know even for clients, as the prices aren't bad. I've used the space on numerous times to hire masseurs who did outcalls only, since I prefer to be worked on on a table or perhaps my home situation didn't allow for a massage visit, so I'd rent the room myself and tell the masseur to meet me there. I've actually gotten some masseurs to use it for their incall location as a result. And many new masseurs use it to start off their massage biz since it affords them a full setup without their own investment, esp if they just arrived in NY, etc.  If it hasn't changed hands, it's run by a massage therapist whose screenname is tanrtricmaster or something like that.

You can actually see the schedule of rentals, i.e. when there are other people using the other rooms (at least at the point you schedule one) so you can determine whether or not you want that time frame for yourself if you use it.

This is the core of the problem. In most of the US, making an appointment with a new guy is risky for both parties. 
If I say what I want, I'm committing a crime. If he says what he'll do, he's committing a crime. If he says what it costs, he's committing a crime. Then there's the service itself...
If he does what I hired him to do, he's committing a crime.  If I pay for his work, we're both committing a crime.  And afterward, if I disclose the details, I could endanger his business and his freedom.

gotta say, following Colin Simpson's been a hoot this year with his fights with wife. Now that they're back he's deleting several but he kept me on one (he'll be back). It got viciously worse for four days then they made up next day. Of course that was April.....

Lol. Some of you are showing your age. This guy looks like your typical big-city IT professional. Or graphic artist. Or gluten-free waiter. I like the just got out of bed look as long as he doesn't smell like patchouli or stale cum.
 
His ad is basically Craigslist, except it wasn't free. Missed opportunity to not say something enticing about yourself. It could be fun to find out what exactly he does for $140. Or it could be a disaster. If he doesn't smell like the above mentioned or have dried McDonalds in his beard, he could oil us up naked and do a body frot session on the bed. That could work.

Nik is a wonderful, sweet guy. I first saw him at that massage place on 14th street. Then afterwards at his place in the UWS. He looks like his photos. He has a table set up in his studio apartment and there is a shower available with a clean bathroom. Nik is quite slim, lanky and tall and his technique is very good with evidence of training. He uses long gliding strokes during the session with occasional stretching. He massages in his underwear during the session. He adds sensual elements throughout. And you know what they say about thin tall men - they have BIG…FEET! I will be back. MT/HE and of course YMMV

Ron, originally from Costa Rica, is very nice. He has his table set up in his small bedroom which was ok but leaves him not much. room to maneuver. He’s quite good with his massage strokes and really places a lot of pressure despite his thin frame. Not so sure that he has formal training but it did feel quite good. He uses a combo of lotion/oil. Anton is such a quiet guy. Hairy, cute slim guy who lives in a clean apartment in Brooklyn. He definitely looks like his photos. He works on a table in a separate room that also doubles as a bedroom. He is very hairy and I found it very stimulating as he massaged my body. He was naked throughout using Swedish strokes. It was a good massage and he adds sensual elements throughout. Ken has been talked about in several posts. Don’t be discouraged that there are no face photos. I have seen him several times including early in the post pandemic period and just recently as last month. He has certainly shed his excess weight and rocking those abs again and his body is definitely firmer. He has a tiny sliver of an apartment in Hell’s Kitchen. You’re literally in the kitchen but don’t let that disturb you. Dmitry is a nice guy who works on the UES close to 96th street subway station. He (again!) has a relatively slim and lanky frame. It’s clean and he has a designated area for the massage. He is very sweet but his massage techniques leaves something to be desired. I felt I was “lightly touched” the entire time. He has several price points for what you may want from the massage. Since I am primarily looking for a massage, I may not come back. He also gives you a small parting gift at the end which was sweet. MT/HE

I know he has been discussed in here. And I do agree that he looks better in person. He lives in an apartment in UES with a table. Clean and tidy. He has very good massage skills (which other posters have mentioned he has worked or continue to work in a spa before). He uses long gliding strokes but also incorporates kneading techniques. I appreciate the fact that he knows his way around a person’s body highlighting his training. He also incorporates sensual elements into his session. I will definitely be back. I believe I talked about this guy before. I find him really really cute. His smile melts me! I saw him once before and he has shed his COVOD weight. He is much trimmer and defined. He greeted my in his skivvies in an AirBNB in midtown. He has a table set-up and as always, starts with a hug and kisses to your back and ass cheeks which to me is very ’tiltillating” LOL He has nice massage technique, no training but at least he knows his muscles. He has a very smooth body and uses it on you once while on your back and again while facing up. I found that very sexual especially his tiny kisses along the way. I saw him in NJ when I was around the area. He lives in a. House and ha s a large bedroom for his massage. He is very professional and lets you know what is going to happen next. I respect that. He uses Swedish strokes coupled with some targeted deep tissue. He also uses his entire body on to you. He was wearing shorts which again magically disappeared afterwards. He has a tight defined body which was evident from his pictures on his ad. The session was passionate and he really likes what he’s doing as per his ad. I would surely be a repeat. This guy is SEXY! With a hard rocking’ body and a killer smile. He’s new and he has quite limited English proficiency. He’s Colombian but said he lived in Argentina for 10 years. What he lacks verbally, he surely make sup physically :D. He uses baby oil (not my preference) really, and massages on a bed (claims to have a broken table). Massage on the bed was OK and was also a bit awkward because his bed is also quite small. He was wearing underwear during the session. It was quite a session. We were both exhausted afterwards I know he escorts but I only paid for the massage and I think I got a bonus! Definitely would repeat! MT/HE and of course YMMV

RENTMASSEUR.COM View my profile on RentMasseur.com It was a pretty disappointing massage.  I went ahead and went for the 4 handed massage with his twin; what a mistake.  The twin spent, no joke, 20 minutes of the hour on my right calf and foot.  Barely massaged anywhere else.  What could have been a very sensual experience was a fully clothed, less than mediocre massage.  And typically when masseurs come to town, they get at least a semi decent hotel room - this was at a sketchy motel where I was concerned about my car the whole time - and it was daytime.  I’d definitely look elsewhere.

I've had more than one massage where the masseur used a free pandora account.  So, every ten minutes or so, I got to listen to a Home Depot commercial.

i had a massage recently where the masseur WOULD NOT SHUT UP.  he was unbelievably chatty from start to finish, talking super-fast and not taking a breath.  never had a massage experience like that before.  he talked about what tv shows he was watching; his night out at last week at the bar; his various hookups with porn stars; recent changes to his diet; concerts he was going to; etc.  none of this could be classified as friendly conversation, this was just him with the 'on' switch flipped.
for every song that came up on his playlist during the massage he would be like "omg, i totally love her!  what's your favorite betty who song?"  and then he would be discernibly annoyed when i would mumble something like "sorry, i have never heard of 'betty who' and i don't know any of her songs".  a similar thing happened when he brought up drag race.  "who's your favorite this year?"  and i said i don't watch drag race, and his response "you don't watch drag race!  you have to watch it to support the community!  i can't believe you're not watching it!"  and it was clear that he wasn't just surprised that i don't watch drag race, but kind of pissed off about it.
the whole experience was this horrible, nonstop firehose of words.  every once in a while he would say something like "ok i need to shut up now." and then about five seconds later he would start again.  definitely for me the most annoying massage ever.  couldn't wait to get out of there.

I don't know if folks saw my teaser in the Lounge for the new review site, but with the new system we will have the capability to have multiple categories of things to review.  This will include things such as:
 
Inside of each category will be items (either a person or a place).  It's basically the thing being reviewed.  Each item depending on what category that it is in can have a set of questions/fields associated with it.  This allows us to ask different questions for each type of item being reviewed.  
Within each item will be the ability to have reviews.  Again, since different categories can have different types of needs, I can create different questions for the reviews themselves.  Think of the reviews as descriptions of the encounter.  You will have an item (aka the masseur) and then the item will have reviews that describe member's encounters.
Given the progress that is being made with the new review site, I'm ready to start figuring out what information we want to collect.  This is where I need your help!

Let me know the types of info you think are critical to ask about both the item (person) and about the encounter itself.  

The global organisation that regulates the erotic / sensual massage industry: The Regulatory Union of Bodyworking has a sub committee (The Terms Unifying Group) that is set up to handle issues like this.
At the last meeting of the RUB&TUG group (as it is known for short) the members couldn’t reach agreement on what the difference was between a sensual massage and an erotic massage. The minutes show that the meeting ended unhappily although it was agreed that in that situation the meeting could not have been classified as sensual or erotic.
