Just want to back up @Shawn Monroe on this one.
One approach is to hire for massage only and then discuss. Sometimes that works, but often it doesn’t. I accommodate them whenever possible, but sometimes I can’t for purely practical reasons, if nothing else.
Your masseur isn’t expecting to have sex with you. He may be unprepared to offer you optimal service. Maybe he jerked off an hour before your appointment. Maybe he came while servicing another client right before you. He likely isn’t freshly prepared to receive anal sex either. Maybe he doesn’t offer the sex role you want or entertain the things you’re into. Who knows if you brought enough cash to pay the rate he quotes you in person after you indicate you want more. Maybe he has a client after you and has no extra time to extend, or he has to sexually perform for that client. You never know. That’s why it’s best to discuss well beforehand.
I hear @pubic_assistance’s point that you don’t always know you want to have sex with a masseur until you meet him. Chemistry matters. Also, checking that the guy looks in person the way you expect based on his photos is reasonable too. Once your massage only session concludes, inquire about more services and rates afterward. When he can accommodate you right then and there, great. When he can’t, postpone further activities for the next session. 
I concur with other comments regarding provider reputation. You have very low risk of problems - legal or otherwise- seeing well-known, well-reviewed providers. Those with a reputation here on CoM are more trustworthy.

Besides the health issues, reviews are SIGNIFICANTLY hard to come by unless you literally beg for them. So they’re not the be all end all. 

you may want to consider using a Burner app on your phone for this hobby to keep your personal number separate......also, only pay cash and never pay a deposit......politely inform the provider that you'll pay at the end, that you don't want to discuss money during the meet, and get an 'ok' from them on these......never discuss sex and money in the same conversation.......and you may not want to use your own home for a meet (get a hotel room or go to his place if he allows)
please look over this forum for other hints and threads on safety......rentmen is almost the only game in the US and is usually fine to use.....the greater problem is fraudulent profiles there....and making sure you click with a potential provider during the in-person meet......

Just never say anything that translates to "I'll pay you money for sex" and most legal problems are gone. Also, few cops are willing to French kiss for a collar.

Usually when people are looking to hire providers, they are assuming those that list on that site.
 
It is the premiere site to advertise and hire from. If you’re worried about the validity of the .men domain, you can use the other - Rentmen.eu (or rentmen.com which should redirect to rentmen.eu) but they’re basically the same site.

Do you stick to a chain of hotels? 
I think you said you don't like to stay downtown, pardon me if I'm confusing you with another provider. Would you ever consider a highway motel to host guests?  

For me, I usually work in the nude, unless the client prefers otherwise. I also say that respectable mutual touch is encouraged.

And to be fair, I don’t always 100% agree with you on, but this is a topic I agree with you on. It *does* suck to be rushed out of a room at 11am (especially on a weekend, doubly so after Covid) and the only way I’ve found to deal with it is to book an extra night, spending $x amount of dollars - essentially gambling in the hopes it works out (and sometimes it doesn’t). 
it’s different when it is your livelihood. 

My 3 hotel annoyances are:
1. Resort fees, for items I can't choose to use/not use.  Make them optional (like parking fees) or just include them in the advertised rate.  I now avoid hotels with these fees, even if it means I pay more overall for an inclusive rate.
2. Reduction of Daily housekeeping.  Verifying a hotel has daily housekeeping service is now my new normal when reserving hotels.
3. Water saving shower heads with almost no flow.
For everything else I'm pretty easy going.  Breakfast included or no breakfast, it doesn't matter.  Early/Late check-in/out doesn't matter.  Having to swipe a key to use the elevator, doesn't matter.

And here’s another thing I found about the hotel chain I book thru: they say on here we can request 2 extra hours late checkout as Diamond member.
When I stayed in Memphis last week for one night, their checkout time was 11 a.m. and I even asked the night before AND the morning of for a later checkout…he only wanted to give me 11:30 a.m. 🤦🏾‍♂️ I had just barely squeezed in time to do laundry the night before, so I have clothes unpacked or set out to finish drying.
 
That’s what I’m saying, many of these hotels don’t honor the loyalty programs perks. They’re run by cheap Indians with bad customer service (not intending to be racist but, it’s often encountered). Then they want us to be up at 9 a.m. for some lousy breakfast that wasn’t even worth waking up for in the first place.

Also @Jarrod_Uncut how much do you usually pay for motels? 
I know big chains that allow late check out at 4 PM are more expensive but they always have airport hotels that are usually cheaper. Also Marriott has alternative cheaper names like SpringHill Suites, Aloft, Fairfield Inn and Four Points by Sheraton, and you'll only need 50 nights per year to reach a level that will guarantee you leaving the hotel at 4 instead of 11 AM.
Don't you think sticking to one chain of hotels would be a great investment in your business? I'm just trying to help you figure it out a way to resolve this problem and have a guaranteed 4 PM late check out.

No, I said “it appears that your operating model doesn’t work”, based on your own comments. I’m suggesting that using hotels as a venue is a fundamental flaw. Hotels aren’t going to change their operating model because the check out time clearly works for them (as in their whole operating model makes them money). But I guess most of their clients are using the hotel for the main purpose it’s intended rather than using it to host clients. I don’t think they’ll change how they operate to appeal to the travelling escort market so you have to adjust your expectations around what’s possible within their model unfortunately. 
Also I didn’t offer any solution because I know you don’t want suggestions (that’s based on experience).

Hotels are designed as places to sleep, not entertain men cheating on their wife. (That's what MOTELS are for.) 🤣

I can sugarcoat almost anything, but travel post-pandemic is mostly a dumpster fire.
Airline lounges are packed.  Status programs continue to devalue.  Hotels, even good ones, continue to cut back on things like housekeeping and amenities.  Fellow travelers have never been more inept, selfish and unaware.  The shit people do in public now while traveling astounds me.
The credit card perk game is one you have to play very carefully.  If you cannot gameplan how you'll get the $700 Amex Plat yearly fee out of the card, then it's probably not the product for you.  People take these things wanting status, but quickly realize it's a credit product not meant for how, when and where they spend.
Avoiding burnout when you're on the road a lot is a job in itself.  You've got to take mental health breaks.
