1. Indeed @wklukas you could also have quoted the NY Times which said ND “rushed over”. The replay I watched was from Amazon Prime and it featured on the BBC News: the camera must have been behind ND and to his side. It clearly showed ND hitting the ball, the ball hitting the official’s neck and then ND extending a straight arm (presumably as a gesture of apology) as she collapsed. I’ve seen ND play many times IRL so I know he’s panther-like in covering the court and sprinting to return seemingly impossible shots. So I feel confident in saying he walked over to the line judge; the replay I saw shows him walking, not running. I congratulate you @BSR on your well-balanced and fair post. I was present at the ATP finals in 2016 in London when ND whacked a ball into the crowd. His explanation later in the Press interview was very odd; he seemed to say that as the ball didn’t hit anyone, it was OK.
2. I stand by what I wrote @WilliamM (and I also watched the replay several times). The definition of ‘sauntered’ is walked in a slow, relaxed fashion. Novak did not race nor rush over to help her. You’re obviously a diehard fan of Novak @manTOman. You are able to empathise with him and know his feelings and thoughts. I can only judge ND’s actions, and I do not agree that his apology was “very honest“. ND refused to speak to the Press and got into his car and left the site immediately. Accordingly, ND has been fined for failing to meet his Press commitments and his prize money will be docked. It remains to be seen whether he will also be fined heavily for his action. I’m unimpressed by the subsequent post on his IG account. When things go awry, professional athletes always have PR people who draft such fulsome statements, but I find them insincere. I would have preferred to see ND apologise instantly and fully in the scheduled Press conference, but the Times reported that ND instead engaged in a long discussion “lasting almost ten minutes” with the tournament referee and the tournament supervisor. Anyway I hope we can all agree to disagree. I am looking forward to watching the rest of the tournament.
3. Usually you get more responses/info @snogaholic if you post the link to the guy in whom you’re interested
4. Thanks @Charlie for your detailed description of what led up to the incident. From the replayed part on TV here, ND does seem to aim at the line judge…but I accept what you say. What was shocking for me was that Novak did NOT race over to the line judge to help and comfort her. He merely sauntered over. I disagree with some of the comments by @manTOman. I’ve never met ND so I have no view on him, but I have met Roger Federer numerous times in NYC. RF is unfailingly nice and polite, in my direct experience, and I have seen him treating fans very politely…even when accosted on his way back from dinner or in the very early morning on his way to practice.
5. I think @TruthBTold thot his hourly rate is way above that of a pool boy.
6. Thanks @Atlanta_Guy. I’ve responded privately to you.
7. Keanu or Christopher @muscmtl ?
8. Interesting thread. Tennis is the only sport I enjoy watching. Somehow until now I had missed Borna Coric. @BSR put it very well in discussing Novak. He’s always seemed hot-headed but this and other recent events suggest he is no longer behaving in public in the appropriate way sponsors expect. I recall one tournament where Novak exclaimed jubilantly in victory, as the Croat friend with me helpfully translated: Now you can all suck my dick!
9. I’m astonished. Do some men truly spend that in a night getting lap dances in a strip club?
10. I hope then @NYCRich212 that you've seen the movie “Paddington 2“ where HG plays a vain, delusional and fading ’leading man’. It‘s hugely enjoyable but you MUST watch the final credits for an extra surprise.
11. My mistake! Thanks for the additional input @wklukas
12. Do they have kingsize beds in cruiseship cabins? And I don’t know how long the cruise lasts but why “2 escorts”? Surely those lusty young men you’ve entertained at home would be very willing to accompany you? FWIW several European governments have advised citizens against all cruises this year, citing Covid19 risks.
13. I always wear a mask outdoors. A recent experience may show why I feel it’s a good idea, despite what @Unicorn has posted. We had stopped on a country walk to admire a vista. A nice young couple, 20s male and female, came along. They stopped next to us; they were masked, but with the masks under the chin. They were friendly and we chatted briefly. Suddenly the young man coughed openly. I glanced at him but said nothing, and then the young woman sneezed openly. I looked at her in surprise and she said Sorry. Given that (at least in Europe) 50% of infected individuals are asymptomatic, my motto is Better Safe than Sorry.
14. I just finished Season 4 of ‘Lucifer’- the Devil becomes a nightclub owner in LA and gets involved with a female LAPD detective. It’s stylish, entertaining and fun. I enjoyed it greatly but I guess it wouldn’t appeal to the religious. Now to watch Season 5…
15. Just google “nick sandell+dick pics” @Trebor and the images will give plenty of Nick’s dick
16. Woof! Great photo @marylander1940 and he has a lovely upper body.
17. My view @orville is that it’s always better to “err on the side of caution” with whatever image or text is posted. We are all lucky that this forum survives and is useful to so many.
18. You definitely do @fedssocr1! I only ever had a coffee-date AFTER I’d done the initial, but essential, filtering by text and WhatsApp. I described my needs and preferences very clearly. I also described the possible arrangement before asking what they wanted/hoped for. IMO you have to stay polite and friendly, but be ruthless. No endless chats; if they’re promising, meet soon. If they can’t/won’t meet, swap phone numbers and encourage them to contact you when they’re ready to commit. It can be a lot of work. And I had to kiss a lot of frogs before I found my Prince, but Seeking truly worked for me.
19. I feel you may be very right @Rod Hagen When I lived in Manhattan, I never thought of a guy’s travel time. I expected any difficulty in his travel to be reflected in his rate. I never owned a car in the City and I used the Jitney or a car service to go to the Hamptons. I had guys join me there and depending on their rates, I’d offer the Jitney or the car service. Similarly, in San Diego I had a car but I wouldn’t drive to LA (too unpredictably long a trip) but I’ve invited guys from LA to join me in La Jolla for an afternoon date of several hours and dinner. I can only recall my last date there 6-7 years ago when a gorgeous young Australian agreed to drive down one Saturday afternoon. We had good fun together and he asked to stay over with me - all for $1000, meals and his overnight parking. I guess the key for @Chummily will be to offer an extended date (possibly with dinner) at an unbusy time. Also I’d suggest the OP work out in advance the best way for a guy to travel to him in a relaxed and easy fashion - if that’s Uber, so be it.
20. I assume that figure was plucked out of the air @SirBIllybob. I can only post about Barcelona/Spain here but the police are out in force. They are reported as acting swiftly, particularly where large groups of more than 10 (the number at which they act) congregate. Given the myriad restrictions, fines can be severe eg being away from home, without a mask, and in a cafe with more than 10 people leads to a minimum fine of €360. I hope it’s a sufficient deterrent to get people to act sensibly and slow the rate of infection.
21. Old photo but what a male beauty: he was truly in his prime then.
22. FYI the minimum fine for each infraction of the pandemic rules in Spain has just been increased by 20% and is now €120.
23. I think @Reisr30 that the young man used to be a fitness model. His name is something like Justin Deroy. He was very pretty and had a very good body when he was young. I met him once and tho he was delectable (and I was very polite), he made it plain that he was aggressively heterosexual. I don’t know how old he is now. IIRC he had some illness and dropped off the scene a few years ago.
24. FWIW the Spanish Health Minister gave an interview today in ‘La Vanguardia’ about the recent surge in cases. He said that the various regions have agreed on what further restrictions to impose if the number of cases continues to climb. He added that more than half the cases are asymptomatic, the average age (40) is lower than before, and the infection is milder. There’s little pressure on the hospitals and the “number of deaths is very different”.
25. Of course, you’re entitled to your view @SirBIllybob and to interpret the Catalan legislation. I do not mean to quarrel with you but I have several good Catalan friends living in Barcelona. They tell me much the same story. Citizens have been asked to stay home as much as possible. Restrictions are being enforced, police are levying fines, nightlife is dead. Alas, my friends do not frequent the saunas so I cannot comment specifically on Thermas.
