I often chuckle at how focused people, especially younger guys, are about contracting HIV - even to the point of posting ads for a J/O buddy, and saying DDF or safe only - for crying out loud, how much safer an activity can you engage in than J/O side by side?!? And, in the case of oral, because of this obsession with HIV, they don't even think about the laundry list of other STDs they are a thousand times more likely to contract by having oral sex. I think, also, that if I see this "DDF" expression one more time I'm going to scream - all they really want is for someone to TELL them they're "DDF" and they're good to go and ready to jump into any unsafe act you can imagine. In our time of enhanced information availability, and medical knowledge that's light years ahead of where it was even 30-35 years ago, I really wonder how there can still be so many misinformed people walking around? One blatant example of this is how the expressions "AIDS" and "HIV" are still often treated as synonymous, while they can represent two vastly different levels of illness, depending on how eroded the immune system is.

A number of years ago, when I was much younger, I hooked up with a cop in Boston area - not an escort type of thing, just a straight guy wanting some oral. Either he's legit and doing this on the side, or else it's a fake profile that's using this guy's photos - I do find it interesting, though, that there is no phone # posted for contact...most Rentmen guys *prefer* to be contacted by text or phone, not by e-mail. As I said in my other reply, they seem to be more prevalent on just regular daddy/younger dating sites, but they're on the sugar baby sites as well - I think you've either been exceptionally wise and insightful or exceptionally fortunate to not have been in an exchange with one of these guys. They don't just frequent gay dating sites, either - they're after women as well, often under the guise of being military. These fakers really do their homework with the types of photos they post, but their use of language in chatting usually gives them away.

I think the majority of the ones I've seen were on sites like daddydater.com and silverdaddies.com (silverdaddies is RIDDLED with fakers), but they can also be found on sugar daddy sites like seekingarrangement.com and gayarrangement.com

There seems to be a major infestation of fake profiles on "sugar daddy" sites and on just about any other daddy/younger dating site out there. Usually the profile pics that look too good to be true are the ones I am wary of. They claim to be a red blooded U.S. male and list a U.S. location, but the modus operandi is always the same - an immediate insistence on relationship, and a penchant for wanting to chat on Google Hangouts. I've found that the biggest red flags are lack of facility in colloquial American English, and using terms most American guys would not call another guy, such as "dear." I seem to have hit the jackpot in recent months, but there are really so MANY of them out there. When I call them out, they usually clam up and stop chatting, but some actually pretend to be offended. Another red flag is any guy claiming to be a soldier stationed in Afghanistan - an ex-military buddy of mine told me recently that NO U.S. soldier in Afghanistan is going to have easy access to the Internet, and certainly not for the purposes of idle chat on Google Hangouts. One I encountered recently seemed totally on the up and up, but then asked for an iTunes gift card, which seems to be another pattern among these guys. Anyone else run up against this sort of thing on a regular basis?

I've been off that site for over 2 months now - just curious, what was the screen name of the 21 y/o bodybuilder? I talked with one in Ohio matching that description who seemed pretty genuine/nice, but then again the one in NYC who stiffed me also was very nice and communicative until it came time for him to actually show up.
