  1. These type of guys have a much bigger psychological problem than just "addiction".
  2. A former regular asked if I wanted a "boyfriend experience" and I agreed. He immediately told me to give him my cell phone so he could see what guys I was texting behind his back. He had good intuition.
  3. Look at old reviews. High-priced, arrogant, sneaky, charged 500 an hour and demanded 900 for two. Immediate ghost from me.
  4. Don't leave an opening for the term "out of my price range." Just thank them for their time and if they try to negotiate, say you don't haggle and repeat yourself.
  5. "Binge" to me means hiring more than one person a week. I have a line item in my budget specifically for this hobby. Nothing in the line item, no hiring. One area where my relationship with money helps.
  6. I keep a note. I also make sure they see the camera in the hall of my condo building, that they have to face directly if they're entering my door.
  7. To be fair, who's playing whom? Providers act like they're attracted to clients. To be polite, I often act as if the provider is intelligent and interesting to talk with. I doubt I'm alone. It's hard to catch feelings you're putting on an act as well.
  8. You should have seen Ken Burns's documentary on Franklin. He included a letter where Adams basically said he'd wish Franklin would die, although he used this rather funny deistic formal language
  9. I started writing detailed journal entries following each session this year. Since they'd probably freak people out, I won't post them here.
  10. That I haven't seen, although that may be because Chicago is a sanctuary city. My last hire was a Columbian seeking asylum (although from what he said, the chances he qualifies are nil). In November, I had a Venezuelan guy. None spoke English nor had stable residence. I think this is a regional thing depending on how LE treats foreigners.
  11. Compared to small Midwest towns with a population of 20,000, yes, Chicago is more expensive 😂 That being said, this thread is going off the rails again. Just because you "need" more money to live while escorting doesn't equal higher rates. Just because you "can't afford" higher rates doesn't mean they fall. Supply and demand is all that matters, and it doesn't care if you need to pay more in rent. I think the biggest market shift I've seen is the lack of major pricing shifts since around 2019, with slight falls and rises during and after the pandemic. 300 to 350 (and 500 for two hours, my standard) hasn't changed much despite massive inflation.
  12. I don't know about prices yet, but the supply is definitely increasing on the provider side from new guys, which you have to be cautious with. Given how crappy the economy and job market is for young people, I can understand the influx. Plus, a lot of guys are travelling, and I started receiving dry RMs from traveling providers (I politely declined so didn't get their rates). One problem I see is that guys from LA or NYC go travelling around and think they'll get the same or more money in other places, failing to realize they're already in the highest priced market, and are overpriced to most other cities. I'm not paying NY prices in Chicago.
  13. I'm so short, I have never in my life met another gay guy shorter than me, let alone an escort or a date. For some reason, that attracts short aggressive tops. They seem to like standing next to someone smaller in public, and apparently like pounding a small ass in private.
  14. Ditto for the hotel. If it's an incall, anything takeable (wallet, keys, computer, etc.) is locked away in a side room. (if they want to steal my TV, they can have at it - it's almost 20 years old and not very smart)
  15. I'm happy Luigi removed that POS CEO, but these fan girls cheapen a serious issue that kills thousands of Americans a year.
  16. I always thought this intuitively, that sex workers were the canary in the coal mine for the American economy. Maybe because it's an instance of a completely unregulated, technically illegal, pure market, and because it allows unskilled workers a chance to learn and scale up (the ones that don't learn last a month). I wonder if I can write off some sessions as financial research
  17. Yup, I've bumped into entitled brats like that. They get the boot - there's no bigger sexual turn off. As far as bluntness, I'm pretty vicious. Before I "fired" a former regular, I got an idea of his finances, lack of savings, and debt, and since he was in his 30s and losing attractiveness, I told him what to expect for retirement. If they screw me out of sexual pleasure, I'll get my pleasure by making them squirm.
  18. Without getting political, I'll point out that Kyle Snyder was stung in Ohio. Like Georgia, where police did a horribly biased Grindr prostitution sting recently), those are red states. Seriously, in America more and more these days, different states are like different countries. Luckily, Cook County Illinois falls into the "England' category.
  19. If an escort waits until the last minute to ask for an Uber (or a deposit), I cancel immediately. That needs to be discussed during the negotiation process. It's technically a breach of contract, and I consider to be a scam at well.
  20. You miiiiight want to reread my last post.......
  21. There's still MintBoys, but that's the "Las Vegas model," meaning buyer beware. It's free for anyone to put up and ad, but has no information on what the guys are willing to do. Also no rating system, no way to tell when they're available, and you have to watch out for heteros who think they can make money meeting women only.
  22. The customer is always right, provided they stay within the terms of the agreed contract, and treat the provider like a human being (except during the role playing segments involving flogging). There have always been providers who are rude, and there's always been ones who excel at customer service. Just remember that agreeing with the customer is usually a good move, or at least nodding and respecting their options. I've met politically active providers said they argued back when a (conservative) customer said something. He never got hired by that customer again. But that's the same thing I'd do if, say, I had a Grindr hookup with someone in the other tribe.
  23. Just nod, smile, and accept the added services from your paid session. Escorting is basically acting, and good actors like viewers to temporarily believe it...for the scene. It's good business, as is complimenting escorts too. My sig says it all.
  24. The only thing you should worry about is a negative reaction. I've had regulars for years, and while I don't have proof, I'm pretty sure they scared away other guys I tried to hire.
  25. That's what I do if someone quotes me an hourly rate of $400 or higher. They have to ask for 500 before I'd actually laugh directly at them. Which I have.
